I got back Sunday night from camping and I head out in a few minutes for one more overnight....a retreat with my team at work, a hike-in cabin camping deal. I'm having a tough time working up the requisite enthusiasm, since I really NEED my alone time throughout the day, and before bed, and I'm not going to get that. I'm…

Down 5 pounds from 8/3! Water weight in there, I know, but it's still good positive reinforcement for me having logged every bite of food in the last week :) Yesterday's progress: 1. exercise, cardio only -- :) Ran early in the morning. Haven't been running as much as normal because I feel so slow and it's been so hot here…

I recommitted a week ago today after gaining 20 pounds in two years. For me the first week is always the easiest, as long as I am actually doing it right, because of all the lovely water weight. This week will be more challenging because I will be camping for 5 of the next 7 days and, well, there's bound to be a beer or…

Argh, I'm having trouble with cutting and pasting quotes. So I'll skip to today's JFT: 1. exercise, cardio only -- Done 2. track everything and stay in green -- I'm home with the kids today so not snacking will be harder than the days I'm at work 3. Get to sleep at a decent hour 4. Pack up some camping stuff and make a…

Same here -- I've been using MFP to track food off and on for years now and I just started using the community last week! I'm not sure I really knows it existed before then ;) Welcome!

@MLHC1 How do you make it through the day with such little sleep?? @Saragirl2 Hope you are feeling better! I'm again sitting here drinking a Diet Coke and a hot tea at the same time to try to clear the sleep-fog from my head, after sleeping nearly 9 hours and not getting up all that early. I've been taking some Benadryl at…

Drive-thru pharmacies are the greatest when you have kids in tow!

I'm so exhausted today that I have a cup of tea ...AND a Diet Coke in front of me. I didn't have a soda for more than three years but had a few at Disneyland in May and it's been all downhill from there. But currently if that's what's going to work as a guilty pleasure, I'll take it, for now. So anyway, each time…

JFT: I didn't post yesterday but am sticking to the same goals more or less from the day before (my first JFT) and so far, so good. Oh, except that I'm completely exhausted, which makes me short-tempered ;) 1) log everything (easy when there's nothing bad to log) 2) exercise (done!) 3) stay positive (hard sometimes,…

Thanks! I think I just run out of willpower by the end of the day, my kids have run out of goodness and are screaming, and I end up using dinner as a comfort food opportunity. I need to find another way to unwind/reward myself for the day but haven't come across any good ideas to date.

My first JFT! :) 1. Log everything 2. Go to class at gym 3. Stay positive 4. No wine 5. Eat a reasonable dinner -- the hardest time of day for me!

New here as well. I've put on 20 pounds in two years, since turning 40, and I need to start eating better again and stop drinking wine ...I'm at the point now where I feel too heavy to run long or fast enough, which in turn makes me gain more weight. *sigh* Hoping to shock my system back into a range closer to healthy this…
