Once you learn the science behind the math, you don't really need WW to keep track. Maybe for your mentality and personality, you're better off looking at it as a weekly deficit instead of a daily deficit. Instead of trying to be in a 500 calorie a day deficit, try and hit ~3500 for the week. This way if you have a day you…

I use the Samsung Fit 2, taken it swimming a few times and it has no issues. It's not a diving watch by any means, but if you're not going under 5-10 feet I believe it is fine.

https://stronglifts.com/5x5 This is a very popular entry-mid level weight lifting program. Takes ~45 minutes 3 days a week. So depending on how far away your gym is and how much time your lunch is, you could do 5x5 M,W, F and your other stuff on the other days. Weight lifting is very hard to predict calories for, 200 might…

Let's just break down the math. You're Maintenance was 1400, for the longest time you were doing a 200 deficit except for Saturdays where you ate 1400. That means assuming your measuring is perfect and never less, you should lose 1lb in ~3 weeks. Any sort of deviation from this will really slow it down. You said you…

If I do a cheat day, what I do is instead of eating the MFP weight loss calorie goal, I give myself the benefit of being able to eat at Maintenance for the day. This gives me a little extra wiggle room to have a dessert/alcoholic beverage and not lose any progress.

I gotta ask, where the heck are you that McDonalds has Shrimp wraps???
-
I usually do a greek yogurt and a protein shake in the morning for breakfast... I just don't have the will power to wake up early enough to cook anything... so it's the easiest thing to just grab and go.

I would point you to the thread about recomping. It is not a fast process, and if you said you've gone from 23% to 18%, you are already on the way to doing it without really knowing it. 5'11 175-180 can be a good weight depending on how much muscle you have/want. I'm 5'10 and that's actually my target weight.…

The extent of talking at my gym I see is generally "Are you done with that machine?" or "Can I jump in and do a set while you rest?" Practical and Efficient. I like it.

I'm in the tough love club, he didn't force you to eat them. What you put into your body is 100% in your control. You can eat a chocolate for dessert some days and still show him you appreciate the thoughtful gift. You can definitely mention it to him and possibly start a fight over something fairly trivial, or just…

The biggest problem you're going to face is most restaurants are very high in sodium, so you might notice some water gains and think it was worse than it really was.

I cut out soda pop by switching to sugar free energy drinks and a lot more water. I also have a soda stream for those days I do want a pop, I can make a much lower calorie version and only drink ~30 calories instead of 180 or so.

I bought a bag of potato chips and almost reached the amount of servings listed on the bag.. I got 7 instead of 8... usually I got 2 or maybe 3.

You have lost 2 lbs of water weight, nothing else. Don't fall for these things. Make yourself real protein shakes for half the price if that's what you are into. Just need a protein powder, some almond/coconut milk and a bag of frozen fruit. Will end up being ~300 calories or so depending on what you brands you get. You…

The part your ignoring though is it isn't the food being hot vs cold that is the weight loss, it's the cooking. If you take that 125gram hot pork chop and put it in the fridge, it will be 125g cold when you pull it back out. It won't gain or lose weight just from being hot or cold. It's semantics really and you are correct…

There is nothing wrong with grabbing a PT if you're new to lifting and want some coaching on your form. Sometimes the immediate feedback while you do a lift with a coach watching will save you from injury down the road. I don't believe most people really need a reoccurring schedule with a PT, but I definitely believe…

Yes, cleanses may make you lose a little weight, because you're pretty much cleaning out your stomach ... this isn't fat loss. It's losing weight the same way as going to the bathroom or taking off your shoes is losing weight. This is why people say not to trust the scale as much as trust measurements and how your clothes…

One thing not mentioned in here, how are you gauging your weight loss progress? For the most part, a scale can let you know your progress, but you get much more accurate details on your progress by recording your measurements. Waist line, Hip size, chest size, arms and thighs. You might not necessarily see the scale…

What's your weight loss goal? I don't know too much about the 5:2 diet, but the general principle is instead of eating at a deficit every day, you eat at maintenance on your normal days and use the fast days to hit your weekly deficit. So if you are trying to lose one lb a week, you'd need to do the math to reach a 3500…

Hate to be that guy, but if you think you have no time now in high school, it only gets worse as you move into college and the real life. I work 8-10 hours a day every day, get home to a wife and family and still find time to do the gym 5-6 times a week. Get it under control now, don't look for a fad diet, look at a…

Treadmill also doesn't have any wind resistance. Walking into the wind definitely feels a bit harder, but also better to help cool you off.

I'm having problems too. First problem I had was when I made a recipe for my morning protein shake, and when I tried to log it into my diary, it never showed up on my phone. However my wife was able to see it if she looked at my diary. When I logged onto the website, it was here on the website too, but my phone app never…

One thing that was mentioned but kind of buried in this thread, How are you calculating the 1200 calories from your workout? Just about every method out there used to calculate calories burned during a workout overestimate by quite a bit... if your equipment says you burned 1200, I would tell you to assume less, at least…

As for the gym/workout problem, have you looked around for alternative fitness options? I have a few friends who joined a pole dancing fitness class, and they absolutely fell in love with it. There's also Zumba and Ninja Warrior training classes around my area too. You could also look at joining a team sport like Soccer,…

Generally speaking, if you see a tip anything shared via social media, it's not true.

It won't help with weight loss. It has been shown to have some other health benefits, but you can also find reports out there claiming it hurts you in some ways too.

I lost 10lbs the first 2 weeks I started this whole calorie counting/Gym adventure. Since then it's stablized to 1lb a week. It's just your body flushing out the crap, sodium and water weight. It's also common to gain a lot of weight when you start a new workout because you add a lot of water weight.

I don't have the flowchart, I'm sure someone will post it shortly. Go through those steps. Also are you weighing all your foods, or just going off serving sizes on packages? Also your clothes fitting better is a much better indicator you're losing fat than what the scale says. How long have you been tracking?

I gotta question your goals here.... 6'1 155 just seems like an unreasonable goal. I mean I am 5'10 and still weighed 160 when I was 16 in high school when I had no muscle and ran 3-4 miles a day for soccer conditioning. Based on you saying you have man boobs I'm assuming you're a guy. How old are you? Because at 6'1…
