  • You are eating more than you think. Do yourself a favor and get a food scale. Weigh all solids and measure all liquids.
  • The only person that cleanse will help is the one making a profit from it's sale.

  • That is an intelligent response. I can understand misreading the first line. That is easy to do but then the entire rest of the post would contradict it. That is when an intelligent person would catch that and go back a re-read the first line. As for building muscle in a deficit, even if someone is able to, it wouldn't…
  • Yep, she is insecure, jealous, and full of *kitten*.
  • It depends on the situation but... Cottage cheese with spicy nacho Doritos Chicken sausage Greek yogurt (usually with some cocoa) Protein bars Jerky Leftover meat Halo Top Frozen Greek yogurt bars Fresh fruit
  • It seems a few folks have reading comprehension issues. SMH
  • The scale isn't not moving because you gained muscle. Some of it could be because of water weight retained due to the exercise or just normal fluctuations in weight which can be several pounds but most likely you are eating more than you think from not weighing your food. Do yourself a favor and get a food scale. It is…
  • Just keep it simple yet flattering such as stud or handsome.
  • Beans (dry, outstanding with cornbread) Rice (uncooked) Potatoes (fresh) Oatmeal Chicken (quarters on sale) Cottage cheese is relatively cheap way to add protein and is pretty good with shredded potatoes Pasta Hunts garlic and herb spaghetti sauce Egg noodles (chicken and noodles)
  • You didn't fail. You simply learned a lesson the hard way. There are countless myths out there about weight loss and they are all *kitten*. There is no magic formula. Just eat in whatever way works best for you to meet your calorie goal. That is it.
  • Of course you can but the more you can do to get moving, the better. Also, while everyone here parrots not losing more than 2 pounds a week, doing just that is not only doable but reasonable at your size. Of course, that is not to say you need to lose it at any given rate but rather, whatever you are comfortable with.
  • You don't need a diet plan. What you need is a calorie goal that keeps you at a modest deficit.
  • Ok, this is actually very simple and there is no need to over think it. Weight loss is as simple as eating fewer calories than you burn. That is it. There is no magic formula or anything you must or must not eat. Put your stats into MFP And it will tell you how many calories to eat. Eat that many calories plus what you…
  • The million dollar question
  • I am also 176 cm and went from 149 kg to 80 kg in a year. It isn't easy but it is possible. Cardio for general fitness and lift heavy for muscle. There are lots of programs out there but the keys are push yourself and keep progressively increasing the weight. Focus on nutrition and keep your protein up.
  • Bingo! If you aren't using a food scale, you are eating more than you think.
  • That is extremely aggressive but might be possible depending on your current stats and how much you are willing and able to exercise. Initially, I actually lost even faster (I don't recommend it though) but that was as a morbidly obese yet very active man. 60 pounds in 4 months is roughly half a pound per day or a deficit…
  • I rarely ever remember dreams but this is one that was recurring many years ago. I was in an older house out in the woods with one of my teachers. At dark, werewolves started coming out of the woods and trying to get in the house. Just as they were about to get in, my teacher turned into one too. Of course, there was also…
  • Weight loss is entirely about energy balance and calories are a measure of energy. Macros do matter for other reasons but not weight loss.
  • Losing 19 pounds and 10% of your body weight in only 3 months isn't slow. It is doing fantastic. Whether you see it or not, you are doing great and that is a big positive improvement. Just keep on keeping on. I started at 328 pounds and the idea of losing that much weight just seemed so daunting. It seemed like I would…
  • Greek yogurt
  • If he thinks you need to go low carb to lose weight, he is definitely no expert. Weight loss is entirely about energy balance which means eating fewer calories than you burn. That is it. Lots of us have lost a bunch of weight without going low carb. I have personally lost 150 pounds and still eat lots of carbs.
  • This When I recently went out of town, I found that with being busy, having 2 meals a day and maybe a protein bar for a snack worked out really well and left a lot of calories for dinner.
  • The Bahamas because well Bahamas and a safari in one of the countries in Africa.
  • I don't like the term because the whole concept of cheating defeats the purpose of counting calories in the first place. You can fit all sorts of treats in simply by learning to budget your calories.
  • The problems here are drastically under eating and highly unrealistic expectations. Weight loss and fat loss are not the same thing and fat loss is the real goal. Our weights will fluctuate several pounds from day to day and that is perfectly normal. Just drinking a 16 ounce bottle of water will cause you to gain over a…
  • If you fit it into your calorie goal, you did great. The ability to do this so that you don't feel deprived is a big key to being successful. Weight loss is entirely about calories.
  • First, don't confuse weight loss and fat loss. They aren't the same. As has already been said, weight loss isn't linear. Weight fluctuates constantly for a variety of reasons. It is extremely common to fluctuate several pounds on a daily basis. That is enough to easily hide even a week or two worth of fat loss. I have been…
