If you all need someone to watch your jackets, purses, and sterilizing agents, I'll be over by the water cooler.

I've been giving paleo much thought as well. Sadly, I had my last servings of oatmeal and quinoa today -- goodbye old friends. During my travels today, I snagged the following from https://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/the-beginners-guide-to-the-paleo-diet/. "So you’re ready to eat Paleo, but you don’t know how to cook…

@amandaeve ... that's because tights/leggings were created many centuries ago by ye' ole Sweaty Creeper. If my sources are correct, that person -- probably a man -- was not pleased with the workout clothing of the day being as modest as it was.

You could always use meat as your "bread". It worked for KFC. When I eat burgers, I will use two patties and sandwich the veggies and sauces in between. I call them burger thongs or burger wedgies.
-
Yes @bigscottyuk, the truth will set them free! For the same reason you mentioned, I end up w/ a major wedgie until my set's over. At those times I've often thought, "this wedgie is probably not excellent for anyone standing behind me."

Knowing how guys can be, I've tried convincing my wife to workout in full cotton sweats or a burlap sack or something. For some reason, she's not going for it. Good luck on your search @kimblesnbits13.

I can attest to the efficacy of switching to natural pb. It was part of a play I made to help with sugar cravings. I decided not to dump it altogether as it was/is a staple in my kids' school lunches. One day many weeks later, I tried going back to regular pb (w/ the added sugar) and found that the extra sweetness was…

Congrats on the success so far, @abigailLouise94. Reading about the successes of others always inspires me. Thanks for kicking butt and thanks for sharing. Option 1: I feel that you can never go wrong with oatmeal. "Quick" oats are a godsend when I need to be on my way, but need to eat. It cooks in about 45-60 seconds in…

I know the feeling, man -- like you're in a party surrounded by people, and yet overwhelmed with feelings of loneliness and cravings for donuts and Chik Fil-a sauce. At least, that's how my story goes. Still ... what's awesome is that, you, along with the many others here, have achieved goals that many only dream about.…

@amandapanella12345, it's amazing how much experienced wisdom this community has to offer. I doubt that I'll have anything to contribute here. Still, please know that your question will definitely serve to help many others trying to find their way. Thanks for posting!

I have a standing desk and like that the default height is geared for standing work. I have always preferred to stand up even when I had a traditional desk. At times though, I enjoy taking a load off. I opted to get a tall stool, so if I want to sit, I can. If you're thinking of going with the standing desk, an adjustable…

In learning more about the benefits of having a diet loaded with fruits, nuts, weeds, and seeds, I caught wind of Joe Cross' documentary. I thought that it was a pretty neat view of how juicing can help ones health. What really impressed me is that what he promotes matches some things I learned about juicing from a doctor…

Welcome, @jambriz624. For many (me included), it's the "I am that person I thought I'd never be" moment that kicks butts into gear. So as @livingleanlivingclean stated, it sounds like you're off to a great start. Welcome to fold!

@Tacklewasher, et. al ... I know that "O" is not the best role model for these types of things, but I found encouragement in her story. At the time that I watched, she seemed to be really kickin' butt. And all while having an intense love/addiction for carbs that she made a point to passionately express. I know that I'm no…

So many "correct" responses. Just being honest, I still want ALL the donuts?! I'm not a quitter. I like to finish what I start, so it's either all or nothing with me. With that in mind, I've had to put down the Dunkin' and go cold turkey for fear of ending up like this guy ... Thanks for the words of encouragement.

@Shapingupforlife, @SoftkittyFatkitty, @Max0727, @leonel309 ... looks like my goals and/or activities are inline with your. It's fun to pretend with myself that I hit every mark w/ MFP. However, knowing that numbers don't lie and that others can see those numbers, I'm encouraged to put down the pastries and go…
