  • I bought my last pair of goal pants in the current line I have been buying from. I started when I could not quite squeeze into a size 14. I can, with a little discomfort, successfully button the size 6. The size 6 is the smallest size in that line of jeans. Next time I have to buy nicer jeans. :)
  • Wow, awesome progress!
  • Thanks for the input, all. I will ask them about the black beans and the rice when I get there, I know the pintos(refried) are NOT veggie friendly. I love fajitas my issue is the last time I ordered fajitas I got some pork mixed into mine and was sick the rest of the night so I am wary of them now. Guess I'll load up on my…
  • Good point, I guess I'll eat my fresh veggies beforehand. I'm currently using Fitbit which is day to day rather than weekly, so it makes one big dinner a little harder. RE the cheese: Given the menu, cheese is literally my dinner. That's all. :/
  • I started really slow by trying to get 5,000 steps in a day, then 7,000 then 10,000. These days I walk/jog 4-6 miles a day, but it took me 8 months to get here. For a while I paced in my house a lot because I didn't want to go outside. I know how hard it is, I am sorry for your struggle. :( But wanting to make a change is…
  • That is the specific Blerch image I use.
  • That IS the Blerch.
  • Try lot of stuff until you find healthy options that you DO like. I discovered that carrots baked with apples and spices (I omit the butter) taste delightful. Raw carrots are sweet and crunchy and really satisfy my desire to munch mindlessly. Apples are great too because they have fibre, and are sweet.
  • Holy smokes, great work!
  • I suppose my son is my inspiration, too. But mostly I'm a stick gal. :/
  • I just started. I started walking. When walking got easy, I started jogging a little. Then running. Then resistance training. Now I'm trying to add in some weights. Some days I have to just go without letting myself think about it because if I do, I'm afraid I'll quit.
  • I'll have to check into Reddit thing.
  • When I first started working out and losing, I was pretty depressed. I have battled depression all of my life but this time it was differentbecause there were PP issues to deal with too. Long story short weight loss, daily activity and structure, along with fresh air and sunshine did me a lot of good, and I'm working on…
  • so...... 115th time's the charm....? edit: right you are. dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2060414/Want-quit-smoking-Study-finds-6-cent-try-succeed---graduates-likely-kick-habit.html
  • Holy crap is smoking cessation really that low!? I honestly thought it was comparable (quitting smoking vs losing weight) and as I quit smoking cold turkey without any issue, I thought maybe that meant I had a chance but then I was reading some study that posits that "most people" are able to quit smoking without any aids…
  • Thank you. I needed to hear that. :)
  • No, it was a different one, but that one is good too.
  • I think it might be a good tool for those of us who are pretty normal body type or even a little flabby. I mean, I KNOW my weight isn't because of muscles or thick bones. Other people are obviously going to be different. Not really knowing my BF% though, I guess I don't know for sure that it isn't about right.

  • It's the interpretation that is different, the calculation is the same. It looks like, to me, that they give a wider range of normal or healthy weights as you age, and that the overall healthy range is larger because being mildly overweight, in terms of BMI, is relatively low-risk for the various factors that they…

  • Well, guess I am small framed. I have TINY wrists. So, I'm even fatter than I thought. Plugh. Oh well, onward.[/quote] Eh whether that is true or not the path forward in terms of your health is the same regardless. Don't obsess too much over exactly where you are at now, as long as you know how to start moving in the…

  • When I was first considering trying to run, after I had been walking and working our for a while but was still pretty heavy, I literally googled "too fat, can't run" and found some blog about running while fat and decided to go ahead.

  • Well. Not very muscular. At all. (I'm working on it) The frame thing, I don't really understand because it seems to me, that at 5'3" my frame is going to be small. But logically I guess that isn't necessarily the case.

  • I walk every day outside, for the last 6 months and lots of people I DON'T KNOW tell me I've lost weight/look good, etc. Maybe it should make me feel good but instead I have this sense of "Oh, crap. People really ARE watching me." I'm the sort of person who feels like they're being watched, not in a paranoid way, but in a…
  • Nah, I'm with you. Any place that sells (regular sized?) pants like that its the same sort of deal. Some stores are better or worse about skinny people clothes, but, to me at least they're both "Mall stores."
  • Damn. I had to look. I'll never Buy Abercrombie jeans, but I looked it up and I'm a size 8 or 10 in their jeans, which is like the fat girl end, I suppose. But I went from Walmart fat to Abercrombie fat. How about that. lol
  • Performing body weight exercises are an excellent achievement!
