You can adjust this value. I have it set at 20g and that is VERY difficult to say the least. I often go over but I try to keep it as close to this value as possible. Get my calories from carbs and protein.

If this is a daily problem - I mean the smelling to sauce while you're cooking part - can you start preparing your next day's meal when you're not hungry? Like early morning or the day before? I do it most times so then I can eat as soon as I arrive home from work. Just put in the oven and done :)

I'm reading a book called "thinner leaner stronger" and it says there can be some benefit to having protein before and after but not necessary. You just need to keep your protein values up. I aim for around 130g a day (1.2g protein per kg I weigh, 1g per kg I weight in carbs)

My update: Did not reach my weight goal for this month. I did cardio 16/30 times this month I did strength training only 4/30 times this month I took adequate protein 17/30 times this month I took care of my skin 3/30 times this month I lost half an inch from my hips (desired was 1.5)

I had luncheon meat lol with 100g bacon, 2 boiled eggs, 2.5 slices of white bread and 250g ricotta lol... Less protein so it was hard to get full...

The same happened with McD yesterday. Wasn't satisfied even though I ate over teh amount of allowed calories
