Wow! Great job!!! And I thought my 460 lbs. was impressive lol.

I started my weight loss journey in 2014 at the age of 55 when I weighed 166 lbs. and my body fat was well over 35%. Little did I know I would start lifting weights at the end of that year. I got interested in powerlifting in October 2015 and by the fall of 2016 I had lost over 50 lbs and my body fat was down to 17%. But…

The one in Mass in October is at a new location. It got changed from Malden to Brockton.

I occasionally eat cereal. I prefer plain Cheerios or Kellogg's Special K Protein Cereal. I think it's Cinnamon Brown Sugar Crunch

Thank you! I had an awesome upper body workout today! Benching on Friday, then squats, heavy sets of deficit deadlifts and rack pulls on Saturday. I'm prepping for a powerlifting comp in June

No, but I purchased an "Ozeri" digital scale on Amazon. I've had it for 2 years and it seems to be 100% accurate. My weight was exactly the same as the scale when I had to do my weigh-in for a powerlifting meet last month and the one I did last October. And those scales at the meet are calibrated.

I take my Fitbit results with a grain of salt. If you lift weights and don't do much cardio, it's not an accurate way to track weight loss. For example, on my bench days I do a solid hour of heavy lifting, but it won't show many steps but I know I have burned more calories than the Fitbit is showing. I think the calories…

You might not be eating enough. What type of workouts do you do? How many times/week? I'm 5" and got down to 113lbs. and got so weak I couldn't progress in lifting weights and hit a plateau in weight loss. I started working with another diet coach and he started me on a 1600 calorie diet. Now I'm up to 2000

People who are too lazy to rerack the weights!! One day I went to use the leg press. Someone left over 600 lbs. of weights on there. Now I'm no weak person by any means, but the one thing I can't lift is 100 lb. plates!! There were 2 of those plates. I had to ask another gym member to help me unrack those. People who don't…

Yes it was the meet in Sterling, CT! That meet qualified me for the first RPS Women's Worlds in September! Are you doing the CT States in June?

1) Salted Caramel 2) Vanilla 3) Strawberry I can't wait to try Black Cherry. Worst flavor was Chocolate Almond Crunch - yikes! It had a weird "almond extract" flavor with no chocolate flavor and only a couple of almonds! I didn't really care for Lemon Cake either. It was bland.

Feel free to add me

Cooking, baking and powerlifting! I'm currently ranked #1 in the world with one of the federations I lift with and qualified for Worlds!

I'm 58 and started my weight loss journey in 2014 and lost over 50 lbs. after leading a very sedentary lifestyle. I became a competitive powerlifter in June 2016. I started bulking due to loss of strength when I got down to 113 lbs. and put on 20 lbs. since November. I'm currently on a 2000 calorie diet. One of the most…

I take what my Fitbit says with a grain of salt. On bench days, I do a heavy solid hour of benching which probably burns quite a few calories, but I'm not moving around much so obviously not registering many steps. Plus I don't think it's very accurate

When I went to England and a friend took tons of pics of me then posted them to my wall after I got back :s I never realized how obese I was!!
-
I've competed in 5 meets and registered for only Masters Division. It was $35 for each additional division. I qualified for Worlds in September so I'm definitely going to be registering for both Open and Masters.

I have a poverty bench of 110 lbs. :'( Actually I've been told being 58 years old and only having 9 months of competitive powerlifting under my belt, that's not too bad lol. I haven't seen many lifters my age that bench more than that. My max "board press" is 120 lbs.

I don't lol. I heard you only burn about 200 calories when lifting, however, I think you can continue burning calories for up to 24-48 hours after your lifting session.
