Halo Top ice cream - half a pint has only 120 calories. I also love Yoplait Protein Greek Yogurt. It only has 100 calories. I love popcorn. Snacks 101 makes a really good popcorn that is popped in coconut oil

I drink about a gallon a day

Wow I've never heard of anyone who has lost weight that has needed a larger size shoe. I lost over 50 lbs. and went from a size 9 to 8. I never realized your feet actually get smaller when you lose weight until it happened to me

Not from MA but I'm from RI

I don't care for cardio. The only "cardio" I do is walking at a fast pace on a local trail or occasionally walk or walk fast at a high incline on the treadmill. I love lifting and could do that 7 days/week, 365 days/year if I could, but I need a rest day

http://tasty-yummies.com/10-benefits-to-drinking-warm-lemon-water-every-morning/ I drink warm lemon water through a straw first thing in the morning or before going to bed.

I deadlift and squat pretty heavy 2x/week. I also include rack pulls, leg press and leg extensions. Other great workouts are hip thrusts and split squats. Make sure you are eating at a surplus too. I've always had very muscular legs (large quads and hamstrings) and my thighs are 21.5". Genetics also helps!

It depends on what your future goals are. If you aren't going to be, for an example, a powerlifter or weightlifter, then do your workouts on your own and save the $$ or if you feel you need to, have a training session once/week. I'm a competitive powerlifter and because I'm older (I'm 58), it's critical for me to work with…

I lift weights 4-6x/week for at least an hour each session

Worst bars ever are Cliff and Quest. Someone told me Quest was sued for questionable ingredients. My favs are Pro Supps MY Bar Peanut Butter Crunch, Fit Crunch, Oh Yeah! and Papa Steve's No Junk Raw Protein Bars. The Raw Protein Bars are expensive, but are worth every penny. There isn't anything artificial in them. But a…

5' High 185 lbs (2002) Low 105 lbs. Current 136 lbs The "low 105 lbs" was when I was in my teens/20's. After 5 kids I was 185 lbs. I went from 166 lbs. in 2014 when I started my weight loss journey to 113.2 lbs. in 2016. I would have stayed at 115ish, but I'm a competitive powerlifter and the low weight was hurting my…

I cut out soda cold turkey in 2014. The only time I drink soda now is when we go out to a restaurant. Even then, I will share one with hubby and only take a few sips. Honestly, you won't miss it! Occasionally I have a craving. Then when I do get one, I take a couple of sips then don't want it any longer. I drink mostly…

I bought the "Ozeri ZB21-W WeightMaster 400 lbs Digital Bath Scale" on Amazon. I have found this scale extremely accurate. In fact, it matched the scale exactly to the one that was used for my weigh-in last month when I did a powerlifting meet. I keep the scale in the same spot. If it happens to get moved, I weigh myself…

When I was carb cycling I was only allowed 20g carbs per meal (3 meals). I would eat Trader Joe's Bagel Slims. They only have 20g carbs. I think Pepperidge Farms makes something similar. Being Asian I love white rice. I would eat 1/2 c. rice instead of 1 cup, same with pasta. Another low carb option is Ezikiel bread. It's…

I'm a competitive Powerlifter. I eats LOTS of carbs, protein and fats. I struggled to make significant gains on a low calorie/low carb diet. It wasn't until I increased my caloric intake to 1800-2000 calories. You need to eat for your body to repair itself after lifting, especially if you lift heavy. Feel free to add me

I have eaten as late as midnight and I've never had a problem with "gaining weight" or too much fat. It's a myth that you shouldn't eat after 7 or have carbs late at night

I've worked with 7 different trainers from 2014 to present. I'm very fortunate to have the greatest trainer! He's my powerlifting coach and without him, I would not have been as successful as I have been. He's given me great advice/assistance regarding, not only powerlifting, but also diet advice. I have competed in 5…

Oh Yeah! One bars are really delicious. I also like Power Crunch too. Fit Joy is another good one. I stopped eating Quest Bars because I gained weight whenever I ate them. I heard their ingredients are questionable.

Yes women should lift heavy if they are healthy enough. Women start to lose muscle mass after the age of 50. I'm 58 and just started lifting at the age of 56. Now I'm a competitive powerlifter and some of my lifts are more than 2x my body weight.

I was on a 1200 calorie diet for almost 2-1/2 years. I started bulking in November when I was 125 lbs. Now I'm on an 1800-2000 calorie diet and gained 10 lbs, a lot of it muscle mass. I eat lean meats and fish, veggies/fruits, lots of carbs and some fats. Right now my macros are 25% protein/45% carbs/30% fat. I'm a…

Height: 5" Weight 135 lbs Bodyfat: 17.1% (last measured Oct 2016) Thighs: 21" Calves: 13" I'm a powerlifter, have a very muscular build and a large frame. My BF is probably closer to 18%-19%? as I have been bulking since last November. Interesting note I'm 58 years old and my biceps are 13" lol. I'm in better shape now…

I'm trying to gain weight too. I'm working with a diet coach and he suggested only .5 lbs./week. You should gain the weight SLOWLY otherwise, the weight you gain will be mostly fat. I'm on a high protein/high carb/mod fat diet.

I'll be 58 next month. I started my weight loss journey in 2014 and lost over 50 lbs. I'm 5'0" and got down to 113.2 lbs. But I'm Powerlifter and started to lose a lot of strength so I'm now bulking and even at 1800-2000 calories I occasionally lose weight if I have a heavy day of weightlifting. I found what worked for me…

I used to be obsessed with trying to reach 10,000 steps but I don't worry any longer. Most of my exercise is lifting weights, doing a minimal amount of cardio and taking my dog for a walk on a trail weather permitting. Since I lift weights, I won't get many steps, but I burn more calories than doing cardio.
