You should take at least 1 day off/week otherwise you will be dealing with injuries. I actually do better weight-wise with working out 5x/week and walking 20-30 minutes on my 2 days off

After I started eating "clean" I don't crave junk food as much. I'm surrounded by people who don't always eat heathy. If I want to indulge in something, I just eat a very small portion of it or will figure it into my macros.

I ditched gloves a few months after I started lifting and only use chalk. I just bought straps but I am only using those for snatch grip deadlifts because my thumbs would be gone lol. I lift heavy 140kg and have callouses. My gym has a "Texas Power Bar" and the knurling on that bar is better than the other random bars so I…

Don't waste your money! The only one who benefits from Herbalife are the CEO's!

I lost 53 lbs. when I started my weight loss journey at the age of 55. It was actually EASIER for me to lose weight than it was for me when I was in my 20's/30's/40's. Your metabolism doesn't change as you get older. That's just a myth. Older people tend to gain weight as they age due to being less active. The biggest…

I haven't been able to log any of my food for the past 2 days from my laptop.
-
Yes I eat 2 everyday. They are nutritious and keep me full for hours. I eat them as a preworkout with toast or a waffle

Funny thing is there are 3 DD's within only a few miles where I live and I detest the place lol

Took me 2 years to lose 53 lbs. I started at the age of 55. I'm about 35 lbs. heavier now as I started bulking in 2016 in order to become a competitive powerlifter. The low weight range was too difficult for me to lift heavy in competitions

Best: Legs (always get compliments about them) lol Worst: belly (sadly never have had abs even when I weighed 105 lbs., was active and ate healthy)

I think the most accurate is supposed to be the Bod Pod
-
I became a competitive powerlifter at the age of 57

Feel free to add me. I'm strong for my age (turned 59 in January). My maxes are 248/115/308.6. I'm hoping to total at least 700 by August and qualify for 2019 Raw Nationals

I can fit into Gap Kids XXL and was even able to wear an XL girl's skirt. I found a Boston Bruins jersey that was on clearance for $20 (reg. $100). It had a minor defect and I was going to sell it, but tried it on, fit perfect and was a Youth size XL

Yes and during the summer I shower sometimes 2x-3x/day because the gym I train in has NO A/C  and our house only has 1 window A/C. I wash my hair 2-3x/week

More update again lol 59 YO Squat - 248 lbs. Bench - 115 lbs. DL - 308.6 lbs. At my meet 3 weeks ago, my 3rd deadlift moved like an opener. I really should have gone at least 314-320 lbs. Currently prepping for Regionals in August and hope to get at least 260 lb. squat/121 lb bench/325-330 lb deadlift for at…

I was usually the only female in the free-weight section of the gym. It was a little intimidating at first, but the guys were really great, supportive and helpful. It's kind of funny because once they saw me lifting some heavy weights (I'm a powerlifter), they started asking me to be a spotter or give them a lift off when…

I never do. If I want to indulge in something, I fit it into my macros. Around the holidays I discovered the best ice cream ever lol. It was Haagen Dazs Peppermint Bark. Thank God it's a seasonal flavor! Anyway, I bought a pint and ate just 2 spoonfuls whenever I was craving it. It literally took me 3 weeks to finish it.

I'm 59 and a competitive powerlifter. I just competed in my 8th meet last month, prepping for Regionals soon to qualify for 2019 Raw Nationals. My current maxes are: 248 squat/115 bench/308.6 deadlift. I don't consider myself sexy at all, but just strong!
-
I used to be on a 1200 calorie diet and often felt dizzy, especially when I lifted heavy
-
Congrats on the weight loss! Feel free to add me. I'm an experienced lifter. Just did my 8th powerlifter meet last month
-
It took me almost 2 years to lose 50 lbs. BUT I did mostly cardio the first year and got some terrible dieting advice that nearly destroyed my metabolism and took almost a full year to recover  I would highly recommend strength training.
-
I started my weight journey in 2014 doing mostly cardio, started some strength training in 2015 and became a competitive powerlifter in June 2016 at the age of 57 and have competed in 8 meets so far. I eat much more now (2200 calories) than I did in my 20's/30's/40's. I can gain muscle easily, probably more than most…

BMI charts are useless for those who have a muscular build like most athletes

Grenade Carb Killa Caramel Chaos is my new fav protein bar. Oh Yeah One Bar (Peanut butter) and Fitjoy Grandma's Lemon Square are also my favs. Cliff Bar is the worst bar I've ever tasted along with Quest
-
I eat pretty much the same breakfast before lifting - 2 eggs and whole wheat toast or waffles
-
265g on a 2200 cal diet. I'm a powerlifter so the extra carbs helps
-
Most women don't bench a significant amount of weight unless they have been training for years
-
lol. Yes I worry about injuries too
-
I have a poverty bench :-(
