53 year old beginner (well 8 months a beginner) 5'2" DL 1 RM 200 Squat 1 RM 173 Bench - no idea as I have a total mental block/fear of this lift...so weird. LOL.

What others have said....hard exercise. I also find release in art...meditation...but what helps ME the most is carving out enough QUIET and alone time in a week. Last year I got things started in the morning and headed out for a nice 10 mile walk.....I felt so pumped after that I did not over eat at all. Will employ the same strategy this year.
