@mmapags is right - There's loads of alternatives your just gonna have to try them all, until you find one you prefer. Alpro works in hot drinks for me and I can stomach about anything else in oatmeal. I never liked rice milk but I know others that do. Get your taste buds working.... Explore and enjoy the experience.

If I'm honest I associate the US with over eating. I was there for 5 months earlier in the year and when I ordered out I'd ask for half on my plate, the other half to go. The waitress would look at me like I had two heads :) Like @TanyaHooton says its the huge portion sizes. Because I made an effort not to get into the…

Personally I don't believe in cheat meals, the mere fact that it registers as cheating is just the wrong mindset for me. Others swear by it and call me mad #RME. To your point: How do you make a lifestyle change instead of a temporary one? Here's a few comments I've made on other threads: Temptation - does it ever get…

^^^ I wrote the above on another thread. My advice is to make health a priority because the opposite is a lot worse. If I'm honest your reasons sound like your living in Excuse City. #GoodLuckWithThat. Don't take this wrong way, but I was that person once. That short sighted view lands you in trouble eventually. Right now…

@wellnesschaser - For me I did some mental math. I can eat everything, nothing is excluded but I and only I, make the choice no-one else. This made for a good starting point. I then went on to identify my trigger foods? Like you ice cream is a dangerous one and I will not be happy until the whole tub is gone. Do I still…

I love this too. The fact that you speak in one year terms, says everything to me #WiseAndHealthy Are(were) you recomping (hmm is that a word) these past 12 months? I'm all for staying the same on the scale, especially if the redesign is going well. Congrats on your Maintain-Iversary

Normally a health scare focuses the mind. In my opinion, don't be a statistic and take responsibility for your health but ultimately its your call. Whatever your approach best of luck. Oh for reference I was one of those that had a health scare before I got my *kitten* together. Enjoy your ice cream and good luck.

In addition to the other posts, I'm currently using floor press to increase my lifts.

Google "1,000 Vegan recipes" I think the cookbook is $20 new, even less used. I'm no longer vegan but I've used the recipe book in all my non meat modes. Enjoy!

Jumping rope, this is my go to cardio fat burner.

Apart from this sticky. For me you gotta lift. Whether you lift at home, at work or in a regular gym. You gotta lift... Period. Its the only thing that changes your body shape. For me at least, a flat stomach when you don't have one, is a change in body shape. Yes cardio will make you slimmer but a pear shape at 200 lbs…

www.bodybuilding.com/content/8-high-protein-vegetables.html Yeeeeeeeeeees you read right, veggies and protein. OMG this can't be true. Good luck :)

Whilst I was vegan I used this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/000-Vegan-Recipes/dp/0470085029 In fact I still do but I'm no longer vegan.

Lift more, cardio less. Your body shape will not change with cardio alone. So for me at least its the standard compound exercises - deadlifts, squats, overhead press. They all work your core and help reshape your body. Good luck and stick with it.

Weighing food - that was a biggie for me. I had no idea how much food / calories I was consuming. The food scale was an eye opener.

I haven't been to the office in months, upon my return I had this convo: Colleague: "Hey you've had a growth spurt" Me: "So I'm fat?" Colleague: "Hardly.... all I see is muscle Mr Buff" Me: "Ah I see. Seems I owe you a coffee let's go" Today was a good day :)

Somehow my lifts increase, there must be a published paper on this somewhere :D #SuckerForPain https://youtu.be/-59jGD4WrmE

Start taking pictures today, it was the best thing I ever did. Nothing focuses your mind than a 'before picture'. You have two choices when reviewing 'before' pictures. Go back to where you were(or worse) or stop the rot and continue to create the new you. To your point - Do others only see the fatter person? Of course…

This is my thought process too.

I only have '1,000 Vegan Recipes'

Everyone rarely knows what they're doing. Only today I dropped plates off the Olympic bar (like a fool) and the lady next to me just watched and smirked. I reloaded the plate and got on with the Military Press. Quite simply Youtube videos, seeing others do it works. Chris Jones - This dude makes me laugh, but his lifting…

I've been through the wars and my world has been turned upside down. Like you cooking whole foods has been a struggle. When I looked back at it all, I realised I've been under extreme pressure for 12 months. Also like you my weight has stayed pretty much the same. Having taken time to review what's going on I can see 1)…

Yes I do that when working out loads. On big lift days I know I'll eat more, than say a rest day for example. I think weekly cals keeps you from going mad and beating yourself up about going over on a single day.

I think putting on untold pounds of fat made me stop enjoying food. Its been a long journey but food fuels my body. I have some very tasty meals but my goal is to give my body what it needs along the way. My aim is to make that as healthy and as tasty as possible. Over time I learned that doesn't mean eating a load of *&%$…

^^^ In my book this is spot on - everyone's so called perfect body / perfect version of themselves is different. To some folks, disgust I always say "the camera doesn't lie" [Enter smart *kitten* with link to cameras do lie RME]. Because typically this happens: What I've done in the past is take one or two pictures and…

I see it this way I put on weight and always cleaned my house, so it cannot be exercise now I'm trying to lose weight (It has to work both ways). Even one off cleans for this, that or the other, I did all those before too. So no, cleaning is not an exercise in my book. Having said that I've seen plenty people who log it as…
