  • I would be over the moon to lose 15 lbs in 6 weeks! I have only lost 5 in the past 2 months. Be proud and don't let the fluctuations take away from the fact that, overall, the number is trending down!!!
  • Been there! I always find the first few days after an off-plan day are the hardest! I crave all the junk!! Every time this happens, I buckle down for a few days and the cravings go away on their own.
  • Could you commute to and from work on your bicycle? On days when you can get out the door a bit early, you could take the long way into work?
  • Wake up, pee, weigh, then into the shower. All in the buff, so no need to worry about a weigh-in outfit haha
  • Yes! Thank you for the answer AND the emoji advice :)
  • I'm wondering if my Fitbit is smart enough to know not to give me "double credit" for my workouts. Say I log a 60 minute circuit training from 5-6pm on MFP, and I am credited with a 400 cal burn on this app. But I also got 3000 steps from 5-6pm while working out. Will Fitbit give me credit for those steps on top of the…
  • I am sorry I don't know why my post cut off haha. Let me try this again...
  • I have been through it a few times also! Gotta echo the comments made by @Spliner1969 This time around doesn't suck nearly so bad because I am not rushing things, and I am allowing myself to eat things I like. I skip the cupcakes in the break room or the pizza lunch because I know I have a yummy dinner planned (even if it…
  • I'm 28 years old, 5'7" and 172 lbs. My goal is 1430 per day to lose 1lb per week. I work a desk job and it is a struggle to get ~10,000 daily steps on my fitbit! I go to the gym ~4 days per week for group exercise classes (45 min-1hour) and have been dabbling with weights, though frankly I feel like an idiot trying to…
  • Not a teacher but I have a similar brutal start time (7am). I echo what others have said about packing clothes and going to the gym straight from work. I also feel so mentally drained from work that I really like doing group exercise or (if I can afford it) having a session with a trainer. It's so nice to turn your brain…
  • I'm trying to get out of the 170s. Never been there before recently and never want to go back!! Edit: only a couple pounds to reach that mini goal. The ultimate goal is to be out of the "overweight" BMI range. 159, here I come!! And maybe more...baby steps!
  • I think someone already said this, but I'd just like to echo the idea that keeping your food simple will help with logging also! It can get boring to eat the same things all the time, but when you first start out it's nice to know exactly what you're consuming so that you know for sure whether your MFP-prescribed calorie…
  • Annoying! Some of my extended family is like this from time to time, and it seems at every family gathering the conversation always circles back around to weight. Then comes the constant one-upmanship of who is doing what diet or workout, almost like a competition. Its gotten better, but it is still annoying! My immediate…
  • I'm looking to lose 20-25 pounds! I'm 28 and live in Nevada. Feel free to add me!!
  • It is definitely not easy! I work with mostly patients in their 60s and older so I tend to run into these a little more often than I otherwise might. It's rewarding to help them when they show appreciation!
  • I confess I work in the eye care field and can get irritated with obese patients, though I'll never let on to them that's how I feel. They always have a laundry list of complaints and expect me to fix everything, when they can't position themselves in the equipment for my testing. I am not one to judge about poor health…
  • Knowing what I know now, I think my blowout days must have hit 5k or more. A home-cooked big breakfast (biscuits and gravy with breakfast meat, hash browns, and all that) and then maybe a big night out with appetizers (spinach dip, nachos, onion rings, whatever) and dinner (pizza, burger and fries, Italian food, Mexican…
  • I do reheat right in the container a lot of the time, unless some parts need to stay cold to eat. I bought a pack of 12 bento boxes for 10 bucks or so and figure I'll get rid of them as they break down. I never thought of them being unsafe to microwave but I'm ok so far
  • I use little bento box Tupperware containers and make a big batch of something like stir fry for the main compartment, and then switch it up for the smaller compartments (roasted veggies, cubes of cheese, a serving of almonds, whatever) so I won't get too bored.
  • A vacation! Preferably involving sun, sand, and a big ol' blended fruity drink with an umbrella in it. I count my blessings that there is not currently anything more heavy to be occupying my mind at the moment....thoughts with all of you going through rough times!
  • Wow, I never went as far as to measure out food when I was eating an entire prepackaged item. I'll have to keep that in mind if I stall out closer to my goal. Also, that's annoying
  • I have had that problem too! I worried somehow that not being in the "1200 club" (which is necessary for some!) is somehow cheating. I had to sit down and put a typical pre-MFP day into my log to see how many calories I was eating before (fast food, pizza, and beer really add up!). It helped me to see that I have made a…
  • Just getting the computer booted up at work, eating a banana, and waiting for this gigantic travel mug of coffee to work its magic!
  • Me, please! Late 20s female with about 25-30 lbs to lose. Started tracking in November with a few false starts since then, but on a good streak now and would love some buddies to help keep me on track for the long term :)
  • Breakfast: 2 travel mugs of black coffee, 1 banana, 1 light muscle milk chocolate drink Lunch: prepackaged Asian chicken salad Snacks: Sargento balanced breaks (a cheese/nut/fruit mix), snack pack of Goldfish crackers Dinner: riced cauliflower and bacon "fried rice," and roasted butternut squash Yum! Wish I had room in my…
  • Similar goal! Late 20s female with about 25-30 to lose. I'll add you! Anyone is also welcome to add me :)
  • I have about 30 to lose! Would love some buddies. Feel free to add me, all!
  • Hi everyone! I'm Joan, and I'm 28. I've been on MFP for about 6 weeks and have had a few good weeks with some falls off the wagon mixed in. With the holidays behind us I'm looking to be more consistent with my logging and habits. Most importantly I need to make sure the occasional cheat day doesn't turn into a cheat week…
