  • I just looked up the shine and see so many. Which one have you had and for how long? They are not rated so well on Amazon. I am a no go on Fitbit after negative experience so appreciate any info on alternatives. Thanks for sharing!
  • OMG...I am jealous...I am currently single so the only attention my boobs get is what I give them...
  • Oh thank you, thank you MKknits for the food porn!! Yummy, yum, yum.
  • Well HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you and congratulations for keeping things under control My birthday treat is always my mom's homemade bbq ribs...there is some ketchup in her sauce so I have to plan for that. Blow the candles out and make a wish...hope your wish comes true!
  • Will also add that I participate in the Coriell Personalized Medicine Collaborative (DNA studies) that while I have very fibrocystic breasts, I have none of the genetic markers (BRCA) that would mark me as a person of risk. I have one sister who has had breast cancer. She has not had any DNA studies but did go through…
  • It's been awhile...can I borrow someone's "exercise equipment" ?
  • I'm not sure if this is really a disease. I am by no means an expert, but I have a sister who is a radiologist and have FBD myself...always have (large cysts that often require an ultrasound after mammograms). I personally believe this is just one variation on the wide spectrum of "normal".
  • I have been completely bread free for two years...since I moved into the motorhome. When I moved in, I donated my nice toaster to Goodwill thinking I will never use it again. (I rarely used it for bread...more for those frozen hash brown patties...let em thaw and throw in the toaster...brown & crispy quick). Now looking at…
  • I'm with RowdysLady...would do the same although in my carbivore days, the ketchup and Jager would have been most welcome. I can say that I skied the Alps in Austria both sober and buzzed on Jager...both experiences were awesome, but probably not something that will happen again in this lifetime. Sounds uber delish…
  • Such nice ideas from everyone! When I had a bigger income, I used to take cruises quite a bit and would always order the cheese plate as my dessert. Cheese is a dessert!!!
  • Made the mistake of doing LC without the HF in the past, then ADF on a primarily vegetarian diet. Desperate to make the military standards for waist measurements. Then looked at the guys who showed up to work every day with a dozen boiled eggs for breakfast and started talking to them. It was truly years of trial and error…

  • Oh, you must post the recipe for those of us not in the know.
  • God help me. I angered a family member and things got UGLY. I didn't engage...just let the other party blow a gasket. I have already had my two glasses of wine and am trying to get settled down drinking chamomile tea (it is not as effective as wine).
  • Wow, wow, wow! Congratulations!
  • Way to go, girl!! Keep up the good work.
  • I'll play...however without the Fitbit. I've owned 3...all crapped out. Number 2 was a "free" replacement as the first died while under warranty. I put free in quotes because it took 2+ hours on the phone with a rep to troubleshoot (he finally admitted defeat) for the warranty to be honored...my time is worth $ so not…
  • This is typical. I once had an angry patient who kept coming back to be rechecked "because I must have given him the wrong prescription". I let him know that he may be diabetic and must be checked. He refused to get checked until 5 pairs of glasses weren't right. His fasting blood sugar was normal so he was very angry at…
  • Doing alternate day fasting. I always have a glass or two of red wine on my eating days. I water fast on my non-eating days...usually 36 hrs from last intake til next intake. That's what gets me thru my fasting days...looking forward to really good food and my wine! But, I am very strict otherwise.

  • Wow...just had one of "those" moments. Only a lo-carber would regret not incorporating the most animal fat into a meal. Finished a nice grass fed burger (grass fed beef is my splurge item) with onions topped with asiago cheese, horseradish & whole grain mustard...yum. But then I put MCT & butter in the pan, scraped up the…
  • Thanks guys! I can handle all of the staples (shop mostly at Aldi's & WalMart, Hy-Vee for anything I can't get at the former)...but as a born and bred farm girl, while eating this way, I NEED my beef! I've cut WAY down on my wine consumption to shift those $$ to nice fatty steak. AND...I would really like to shift some of…
  • Haha...I just joined this group and started reading this thread. I do the same thing...only with green olive juice!
  • I am a retired optometrist. It may be that your blood sugars were consistently high prior to starting LCHF. Optometrists are often the first to suspect (and test for) diabetes when adult patients start developing increased myopia (nearsightedness). (Most adults' distance vision, absent of disease should remain stable…
