Chamomile tea with nothing added is my go to tea - I also like lemon and ginger maybe with a bit of honey.
I get creeped out watching people dip cookies in milk (or coffee, or hot chocolate) Really dipping anything in any beverage grosses me out.
Ewwwww dipping things in drinks is disgusting 🤢 Dipping biscuits in tea and then drinking the tea really makes me want to gag Also juice with pulp 🤢 I'm not a fan of…

Exactly- I also drink black coffee and Starbucks coffee beans taste awful. Maybe that's why they add so much sweet junk to it - to make it taste better.

This works for me too. Mindless snacking is a problem for me in the evening even if I have a filling dinner. So it's been better for me to draw a line after my main meal around 4pm. This wouldn't work for most people but it fits into my schedule. I lost 50 lbs doing this.

Relaxing about my 'diet' helped me a lot. To eat foods I enjoy within my calories not because they are 'diet foods' Learning to cook healthier recipes and batch cooking them. Avoiding takeaways as much as possible. Getting rid of the all or nothing mindset - life happens and it's OK to go over my calories once in a while -…

I used to cycle commute to work but I'm in the UK so my main issue was the rain. What helped me the most was to have a change of clothes ,toiletries etc at work. Starting your day wet or sweaty etc isn't nice!

I just had some for lunch it was sooo good 😁

I'm obsessed with Greek salad at the moment fir some reason 😍

Learning to cook things I enjoy really helps me to stay within reasonable calories. I often go over by a lot - I log it and move on. I've been where you are - restricting and demonising food groups and being hungry all the time yet wanting to weigh / look a certain way. It's a horrible place to be. Maybe look for some help…

I hope this one is reduced on Tuesday 😍

Yesssss 😍 I'm PMSing and need all the Easter cakes, chocolate eggs, hot cross buns and desserts! I'm waiting till Tuesday when everything will be reduced 😁

When I was 230lbs and clueless about food choices - I found it easier to follow a guided plan. There are so many free ones online where you can find one to match your style of eating. And along the way I learned about calories, macros, what types of food that kept me satiated etc.. Take small steps, at first have a calorie…

I'm trying not to weigh myself as often now. I have plateaued and the number on the scale was affecting me negatively so I weigh about twice a month. If I feel a difference in my clothes then I weigh in.

I'm going to eat drink and be merry with friends and family. Log as best as I can and move on. I do have a little healthy activity planned as the weather in London for the Easter weekend is pretty good for this time of year.

Thanks @kshama and springerling62 I'll look into yoga classes - but I definitely need a beginners class 🤣
-
Yes you're right - I just want to start doing body conditioning exercises I might enjoy. I want to be strong and the hope is that when the fat finally goes there will be a bit of muscle under there!

Save your money and count calories yourself. It gets easier over time.

Thanks for the replies re : old looking skin on the face. It's good to know that some of you saw a lot of change after a while in maintenance. I used to weigh 150lbs in my early 30's and was happy at that weight. But my body is a different shape now 15+ years later - so I'm unsure of how my body will look after I gained so…

How much above goal weight are you if you don't mind me asking? Do you find having an additional 10lbs ish for example helps your face look younger? I'm not bothered about a flat stomach or abs etc I'm pretty strong and would like to keep it that way. But exercising in a gym isn't my idea of fun at all. I just find that…

I still want t lose the last 15lbs but don't enjoy the gym at all. But I think without any additional exercise I still won't like my body at 150lbs. But you're right - I need to get there and see.

I agree a second watch is your best bet. I have a fairly old Fitbit Charge 2 and it functions perfectly. I've seen them on ebay for less than £20 You could even pick up a newer model for around £50

I found this thread helpful too. I'm having real trouble with my last 15 / 20lbs too. I can't maintain even a very small a deficit longer than a couple of days.

I didn't vote because my weightloss was a combination of different approaches and I'm still experimenting with the last pounds. Calorie counting is a boring necessity to keep me accountable. I throw in a bit of intermittent fasting a few days a week too to keep me within my calories and reduce cravings. I don't follow any…

I think Fitbit over estimates calorie burn by a lot. Most activity trackers do. I did a 2hr walk yesterday and my Fitbit recons I burned 800 calories! I highly doubt that lol I put the walk into MFP and it estimated 500 calories which I still think is pretty high. I don't take any of it literally and usually halve the…

Read the horror stories of how they make it and what's in it and what it does to your body 😵 And learn how to make your own healthier versions of what you like. I really fancied a Mc Donalds breakfast this morning because I'm unwell - but I made my own bacon and egg muffin - it was sooooo delicious. What puts me off fast…

Cheese 😍 All the carbs with cheese. Pizza, fries with cheese, cheese and crackers , fried stuff with cheese inside 🤣 The list is endless. Pair that with wine and I'm in heaven and about 3 million calories over my allowance 🤣

My seat was too low - I went for a ride on Sunday that felt so much better. Although it was much less hilly than the ride that killed my knees. I'm debating on getting a new bike this year. There are some fantastic mountain bikes on sale here in the UK at the moment.

Eat whatever foods you like at a calorie deficit and you will lose weight. How well and satiated you feel whilst eating food without any nutritional value is another thing. Junk food has a lot of calories sugar, salt and fat and not much else. You won't get much food for the amount of calories you need. And diet fizzy…

I have been struggling with maintaining a deficit for months now. I'm on my last 20 lbs and even a 200/ 250 cal deficit makes me feel starving and tired. I have increased my fat intake over the last couple of weeks and I feel a little better - but the scale isn't moving 🙄
