So are you saying that the peer-reviewed academic articles that were cited and shown in the documentary are false? Or that the handful of other documentaries discussing similar information are incorrect also? My choice to change my lifestyle isn't just based off of the documentary but also on the environmental impact that…

Thanks for these tips guys!

@NewGemini130 thanks for the tip! From the sounds of it I'll be solo in my boss' prius while she drives her rig. Good luck with the dog and kids!

I'm in! Going to do mine after my night class

Day one down!

Swimming! On top of being a stable hand/groom for a dressage facility in NJ where I walk anywhere from 7 - 15 miles a day. I also enjoy walking, hiking, running, horseback riding. Once I started working at the barn my fitness increased dramatically just due to the active work that is being done.

@leooftheyear thanks for the suggestion! Going to Google it and bookmark it and friend you!

@jemhh Thanks for that! I've never traveled down with my boss before, so totally didn't even think about the fact that it's a 2 day haul which means we'd spend the night somewhere...I'm such a linear thinker sometimes @CattOfTheGarage it's already a Prius, so don't think I'd save much more fuel anyways ;)

@Dano74 as long as we're not leaving at 4am, I could definitely do that! Thanks for the idea! @grmckenzie another great idea! Thanks for that! I'll be following my boss who is hauling her 2 or 3 horses (she doesn't know who she's bringing down yet). Unfortunately we don't take our horses out for walks during breaks haha

Thanks for the suggestion @deannalfisher definitely going to google and bookmark on my laptop now! I'm very fortunate to be going to a part of FL that has many health food stores in the area, so I'm looking forward to some nice fresh food (: Although I do worry on the horse show days how to plan out horse show food (it's…

So I've heard of this/done this when I was battling my ED as to "tricking" my body to stop it from going into starvation mode. I don't know if it would increase/decrease weight loss if you're eating a normal amount of calories. Note: I am NOT encouraging extreme restriction of the diet. I have heard of people eating less…

Thanks! I made the trip last year solo and stopped in GA....Note to self: GA is not a half-way point from NJ to FL. I'm also worried about snacking while driving, especially during such a long trip with minimal movement...If only there was a self-driving car so I could stretch, nap, and do yoga of some sort ;)

:( I would get that checked out immediately!! Especially with the popping and pain, I would have it checked to make sure it wasn't a soft tissue injury. I understand the frustration with knee pain and running. I have runner's knee in my left knee and probably my right, but was too cheap to get the right x-rayed. Keep your…

Hello there! I'm a 21 year old, full time grad student, full time employee split between two jobs (one very active, another very sedentary). I'm in recovery for an ED and rejoined this site to hopefully stay on the right track. I'm looking to not only lose around 50 - 70 pounds, but also to slim up and become a more…

Thanks for the alarm idea! I work over a 40hr work week on top of going to grad school full time so some night I forget to workout, or do challenges like this. Going to try the alarm idea!

I'm in! At least for the Christmas Countdown (hopefully I'll remember to do it everyday) - - - Any hints on remembering to do the workout?

Hey, I'm Caelyn from NJ (raised in New England). I'm 21 and have been battling an eating disorder since I was 13 (or at least realized what I was doing to myself). I was on a healthy track when I entered my undergrad 3 years ago, but was proceeded to be told a year into that my weight (215lbs) was detrimental to the horse…

I understand that all workouts are good, but sometimes all I have is a short time window in my apartment, rather than time to go to the gym.

Do you guys have any recommendations for "quick" workouts. I struggle with time as I work 46hrs a week and am taking 5 graduate level classes this semester. This winter I'm down in FL for 3 weeks and plan on running/walking and working out before I start work. But being stuck in NJ for the rest of the winter is surely…

Good morning (: Recovering EDNOS (Anorexic, bulimic, binge/purge tendencies) here. I just recently rejoined the site also, as I have a couple weddings upcoming and feel that it's finally time to get back to a health weight, a healthy way. My boss (who has recovered from Anorexia) always reminds me to never tell my body no…

The rush is the fact that I currently have 2 weddings that I'm either in or going to. The first one is July 1st (I know over 4 months away, but figured it might take over 4 months to drop the weight). Then I'm the maid of honor in a wedding on October 14th. Beyond the weddings, I ride better when I'm slimmer & fitter so…
