May be a bit harder living with others that are eating things you may not want to in order to shed weight, but unless you take ownership of it, you aren't going anywhere fast. To me, it's only one more excuse that exists. Ultimately no one is forcing you to eat what it is you don't want to. I dropped about 50lbs and my…

I'd bet there are many fit people walking around who may not feel good about themselves. I'd bet there are many non-fit in the same category. While exercise can make you feel temporarily, if there are things that "haunt" you as a person, no exercise in the world will make resolve those for you. Agreed.... Agreed again...…

The Andy Griffith Show... probably not the kind of answer you were expecting...
-
That's awesome.. Congrats!!!

Interesting.. I no longer log food either. Haven't in over a year actually.

I was way above 150/86 which was one of the reasons I decided I needed to take matters seriously and change my lifestyle. I was prescribed a low dose medication. Ultimately changing my eating habits (reducing sodium) and exercise made a HUGE difference which enabled me to be prescription free for about 2 years now. I still…

I'm not fond of gadgets. I won a Fitbit Blaze in a contest and gave it to my daughter to mess with. I found it to be more of an inconvenience and not too accurate. Other than running what I do is not step based so I don't find it applicable to use in my situation. I use my phone for my runs and for me and what I'm seeking,…

Super heavy downpours I turn to something else such as Spinning. Regular rain. . Outside it is.

I try to avoid sodium due to past blood pressure issues which have been eliminated from significantly reducing my sodium intake combined with exercise. I don't "avoid" the foods I like otherwise, but I now have learned to deal with larger portion sizes that are sometimes in front of me.

I am very active as well. Anyone can send me a request if they wish.

I'm a musician. Also love listening to music. Some reading. Traveling is a must for me when I can, especially with my wife and daughter.

It's free, so I deserve what I get. The site unstable from time to time - as is the app. Need to get used to it or don't use it.

Sounds like that trainer has some maturing to do. Perhaps someone who has never had to deal with some of the various harder aspects of life that can surface. We are not robots/machines. This is where it's at in my opinion.... ^^ 100% YES

Congrats on achieving great results!!

Look amazing!

Yes... so much so, I no longer need any sort of meds. That being said I am now extremely mindful of my sodium intake in an effort to help keep it that way.
-
I do both and enjoy both equally.

Sorry this has happened to you.... It's happened to me only once. Guys saying crap as I was out running in my cold weather gear. I could have easily said something back but I took the high road and ignored. I'm sure it will happen again in the future. You can't unlearn ignorance and stupidity.

I've done 3 rounds of H&C / 2 Rounds of 21DF Extreme and in my 2nd round of Body Beast. Pros and Cons to each. The only way to form an opinion is to do them yourself. I began with H&C to help with my running weaknesses and it seem to help for me. You can also go outside of BeachBody and find other routines that help for…

Not at all. I don't ask, question or try to talk her into it. She knows all of what is in the exercise space is as much hers as it is mine and is there whenever she'd like.

I'm in Western NY.

Ditto...

I gave the Blaze I won in a contest to my 8 year old. She has a blast with it.

The most important part of this answer is neither will replace honest and accurate logging to ensure you are in a calorie deficit to lose the weight. Focus on logging your intake. This is your greatest tool for shedding the pounds. Much cheaper than a rower or a treadmill. You can not outburn a bad diet via exercise. For…

For me… I don’t avoid it and I don’t make excuses. I enjoy the activities I do enough to keep it fun, interesting and challenging. If I didn’t like what I did or found it any of them to be a chore, I’d find something else to do in their place. The “why” is the payoff from doing it. I feel better overall as a middle-aged…
