  • CHALLENGE #2: “CRIKEY! SURF’S UP!” (Balance Video 2x, 30 min.) From Week 3 Australia I picked this challenge again because I like to work on my core strength and these balance videos were the most challenging thing I have done in my fitness routine in quite some time. They were as difficult this time as I remember.
  • The spreadsheet looks awesome as we have no red numbers on it right now. Yay Fab Fives! I will be picking some kind of video from the Challenge 2 options and get it done before deadline.
  • CHALLENGE #1: “FROSTBITE FOOTRACE OR IDITAROD?” (Option #2 - 5K outside or Option #3 - 10.49 Miles in or out. Note: there is no 2.5K option.) From week 6 Alaska I did the 5k outside walking my dogs in the spectacular weather we have been having. One needs the leash training and we all can use the exercise.
  • CHALLENGE #3 I ate four green vegetables this week. They were asparagus, and a salad made of green leafy lettuce with green bell peppers and cucumbers.
  • So why are we not in third place by the chart above with race totals? The challenge points must really make a difference![/quote] @karinidowu The challenge points really do make a difference- they are huge! We are currently in last for the week but we are in 3rd for the race overall. Let's make it happen this week FAB 5!…
  • CHALLENGE #3 I added nutmeg to my protein shake. I usually have a chocolate peanut butter banana protein shake and thought nutmeg would be a reasonable addition to this combination. I added 1/4 tsp at a time and was able to have some taste difference at 1tsp.
  • You need to post your points in the graph and follow the format or it won't count.
  • @karinidowu and @ajfuelling and @getsa You have to post the challenges in the correct format like this: CHALLENGE #3 I left chocolate behind for 5 days. Not eating sugar made me feel better and I lost a pound! CHALLENGE #1 I CHOSE THE IDITAROD DARE. I HIKED 10.49 MILES WITH MY DOG TARA, SO THAT WE COULD BOTH ENJOY THE…
  • CHALLENGE #1 I CHOSE THE IDITAROD DARE. I HIKED 10.49 MILES primarily on the row machine 8.55mi, some treadmill 1.94mi because I was already on a personal challenge from my trainer at the gym and got permission from ME to use the row machine for this weeks challenge. Getting ready to go out and ride my bike now, will post…
  • Great job on the outdoors achievement of challenge 1, you said you were going to do challenge 2 tomorrow but wanted you to know the challenges end on Sunday evening and start new on Monday morning, so if you don't finish this week today, just be ready for new things to be posted tomorrow. Those challenge points are such a…
  • So- I surprised myself- I did the 2nd Fitness Blender video tonight for 40 minutes of exercise after my all day training and a 35 minute yoga video. I am motivated and believing the possibility to max out 700 this week. Planning to attend a yoga class tomorrow, finish my iditarod challenge and get a bike ride in - here…
  • Just a little check in to let you all know I have been chipping away at the 10.49mi indoor challenge this week. Only 2.7mi left to do. At this point I could also be accomplishing the 5k outdoor challenge as we are expecting warm temps again this weekend and want to get on my bicycle. I was anticipating maxing out at 700…
  • @MiamiSeoul - so sorry to hear about your trip to the hospital again. and @jackiep248 WoW, sorry to hear about your extended stay, that is a complete bummer. Hope you are both feeling better soon. I have sent the wait list link to my sister to see if she would be able to join in.
  • @My_Butt I entered your minutes for Thursday. For myself I got the chair cardio/strength video done today. Also got those parsnips roasted tonight that I bought for the food challenge last week. Glad I had the anchovies and persimmons ready to eat so I got the points needed. Those challenge points are super important and…
  • Happy about the water challenge, should be no problem this week, as my water bottle is an appendage to me. Even happier that the challenge videos do not appear to be dancing! There is a reason I don't do Zumba, I am so uncoordinated and I get no satisfaction from exercising this way. I did watch the active videos for…
  • Did the 2nd 30 min kickboxing video today and took a 7 mile ride on my bike in our abnormally, warm, record setting, temperatures. Beautiful! Got a few things to try for the food challenge. Here goes: Dried Persimmons- as far as dried fruit goes- this tasted like citrus plastic. I'm not sure what kind of skin or peel is on…
  • Did another hour of kickboxing at the gym tonight before my yoga class. Still need to do the foot massage and food challenge. Will get it done before the deadline!
  • Thanks for the welcome to the team. I joined the fall race in the last couple weeks and really liked the variety it added to my regular exercise routine. Since I wasn't with you from the beginning I will do the introduction: Name- Doni (female) Favorite way to exercise- group classes including yoga 3x a week Where I live-…
  • Challenge #3 post: 1. Drink Water 2. Yoga 3x week 3. Movement everyday 4. Attend church weekly 5. Moderate my sweets 6. Strength training 3x week 7. daily devotions 8. Get back to incorporating more protein shakes daily 9. New thing- try and get a real 5k done in 2017!
  • Hi! Thanks for adding me to the team so late in the challenge. I have been visiting in Seattle this week and am posting for my 2nd challenge of the week-I chose Hiking the Na Pali Coast from the Hawaii leg. Have logged more than 4 miles of outdoor walking in the 2 days I've been here. Will get that added to the spreadsheet…
