That's about where I am at calorie wise, but I am 5'5 and not that much overweight. I would start with a higher count so you don't get discouraged.

If fighting cravings were as easy as just drinking some water or eating more protein for some people, then losing weight would be simple. Truth is, it is not simple and everyone has different struggles. I agree that you should stay away from pills, prescription or OTC, that have bad things in them, especially high levels…

I have two cats that I adopted from the Humane Society. A black cat named DJ Lou, and a white cat named Cloud. Cats are the best!

I am so excited! I am planning on taking my daughter to see it because she loved the most recent one.

My grandfather suffered through bad high blood pressure and I will say that if you are smoking you should stop immediately. Tobacco and the meds they give you do not mix well. There's a lot of helpful advice here- I second and third changing your weight loss goal to 1lb per week. My goal is 1,200 a day and when I notice I get pretty close I will throw in a jog or walk in my afternoon. Also, most vegetables have low calories. I always drink a glass of water before I eat. Sometimes I have a small glass of red wine with dinner, but nothing else. I am not a big soda drinker. My vice is coffee in the morning though!

If you want a faster time you will need to rest more and do more interval training. A heart rate monitor is a great resource for maxing out your potential. I don't know where you live either, but my time is always slower in the winter months because I have asthma and the colder the air is the harder it is to run.

I tend to get a little lazy around the holidays, but I think of it as a nice reward for my hard work during the year.

The only "bad" thing on that sandwich is the bacon and perhaps the bread - unless you're a runner and need a lot of complex carbs. I think you need to relax a little bit. Losing weight shouldn't be stressful - it should be exciting.

I am a huge runner! You're weight my be increasing because you aren't eating enough calories. Do you use a fitness tracker? I would start recording your calories and make sure you aren't too deficient.
