  • I just got a Polar Ignite after my Fitbit died. Never going Fitbit again. This fitness watch is extremely good!
  • Meee! In love with my Polar Ignite. After a dead Fitbit? Never going back :D
  • The one piece of advise I will give you: Meal prep. If you plan your meals and snacks ahead of time and make a habit of doing so at a specific day each week it will make this journey so much easier and help you not make bad choices at mealtimes. I have lost over 56 pounds and kept them off just by sticking to it.
  • 54lbs lost for me. Do yourself the biggest favour in this journey: Lift weights/Resistance Training Dont fear it, don't burn yourself out with endless cardio, lift weights. The older you are, the more muscle mass you lose, the slower your metabolism gets, so put some muscle in, trust me, it will be so much easier to get…
  • Track the sugar on those protein bars and shakes, sometimes we think a healthy bar or shake can only help but the ingredients sabotage our efforts.
  • Yet the results are there. Last 50 years or so obesity, cancer and diabetes have increased. A bagel that used to be 150 calories 15 years ago has now more than double its caloric value because of how the food industry prepares it and the ingredients used. But here, have some more 'clickbait' science…
  • I was not responding to the OP, I responded to someone else.
  • You will find a fault with any article I post. Do the search yourself. I posted the first three articles from a google search that yielded thousands. Want an RT one? https://www.rt.com/usa/banned-additives-food-outlawed-089/ The Chicago Tribune?…
  • Pretty sure you are wishful thinking. Plenty of articles to back my statement up. Quite sure the USA looks the other way on things we ban here in Europe. http://www.eatthis.com/worst-food-additives http://www.shape.com/blogs/shape-your-life/13-banned-foods-still-allowed-us…
  • Things are more complex than just 'parents are failing'. When you have a government that looks the other way when these mega corporations put everything including poison to preserve the shelf life of products and make it so hard for small farmers to compete it costs you an arm and a leg to eat healthy then we shouldnt just…
  • Trick is weights weights weights. Lots of women are scared of weight lifting/resistance training but that is the way to go if you want most of the 'mummy tummy' to go.
  • I'm at a desk all day and I have found a trick that works for me to keep me active: Mini HIIT sessions focusing on largest muscle group, the legs. I calculated how many squats I can do in one minute going as low as possible and as quick as possible without affecting form. For me is 40 squats. So I give myself an amount I…
  • Juice cleanses and detoxes do not work, like every other quick fad diet.
  • People go crazy telling others they HAVE to eat their exercise calories back. I never eat them all. Im always under. On weekends I dont even count. Im still losing weight. Because I don't just go by what has worked for others. Everyone is different and if you are not hungry or feeling weak, you DON'T have to eat more just…
  • If its a problem for you, get a Ceramic coating pan? Needs 0 oil or sprays.
  • Manchester here! Add me :)
  • But this is why blanket advise that you MUST eat back the calories consumed during exercise should not be given. Not everyone is the same and as you lose weight your maintenance calories DO go down, healthier foods fill you up more as well as increased water intake. Your body is more 'efficient' and as such your needs…
  • But you do not need to eat back the calories you work out necessarily. I keep seeing this advise here when in reality it all depends on the person and what their body needs. This is from this very website, talking about this same issue. http://blog.myfitnesspal.com/ask-the-dietitian-should-i-eat-back-my-exercise-calories/
  • Cherry Tomatoes. A bit sweet, low cal, filling, full of protein, vitamin C and Lycopene. Love it!
