  • I love mfp but wish it was less time consuming to add recipes. I dont always know the weight and have to convert cups to grams to figure out what I just made lol. Would also be cool if mfp could calculate how many servings in a dish based on cup/ounces rather than me trying to guess.
  • For me I am happy I had the bypass. I can eat sweets and greasy without dumping but I lost the taste for it. For me the big pro was the immediate change to my comorbid issues. I went in to surgery a type 2 diabetic with high blood pressure and on 6 different meds, up to 8 shots a day. I woke up from surgery and tested…

  • Today I bought a pair of jeans that are a size 16 because my first "goal size" pants I bought pre-surgery (size 20) fell off when I was climbing the stairs with my arms full of laundry. Kids got a laugh as mom tried to stumble up the steps half nekkid lol hard to believe I was a 28 just 3 months ago.

She was afraid I was going to die and in her own way she was trying to "save me". With previous diets, she was always excited for me when I lost. Now I am 2.5…
  • I had rny on oct 7th. Feel free to add me if you want like
  • I had bariatric surgery in October of this year. There is nothing easy about it, nor is it a quick fix. You still have to diet and exercise for the rest of your life and the potential side effects (dumping, ulcers, hair loss, etc) are scary. I have been on one diet or another for nearly 40 years. I lost close to 100lbs…
