Thank you for telling me I am inactive, but no, that is not it. I have gone to the gym every single day (missed 2 because of snow storms) for over two years. Have had a fit bit for 4 years and get at least 15K every single day. Lost zip weight until I started logging here and cut calorie consumption to 1200 calories from…

I apologize for my comments. My mistake totally. Why is my weight loss a lot? Many people lose a lot to start out with, I know it will slow down. I lost zip, in fact gained eating, at 1600 calories I never commented on my doctors view of my progress. How did you come to that conclusion? I am not advocating for low…

The only way to sustain weight loss, is to not eat more calories than you burn. Depending on where you get your information, anywhere from 80% to 97% of people who lose weight, gain it all (or even more back) within 5 years. Point is, all anyone can do, is what works for themselves, and that involves eating less calories…

It's wonderful that you have it all figured out for yourself & that you seem to know what is best & will work for others! What are your qualifications to assume that you can know what will work for all? JW. I don't understand how someone can know that because they do it, anyone doing it different is doing something wrong.…

Doesn't matter. Over 80% of the people that lose weight gain it back, and some gain even more within 5 years. You are in the small percent that keep it off. It doesn't mean that what you are doing will work for someone else. Because you can do it, everyone should that is petite? Everyone is exactly the same as you? You…

I guess that I do not understand why it is so hard for people to believe that guideline numbers are just that, guidelines. Everyone is not the same. Generally, I understand the concept, but if we are all reasonably intelligent, and can adjust to our situation, why such a controversy? If it works for you for what you are…

Calories are overstated by fitbit, MFP, and the machines I use at the gym. Plus everyone is different, that is why it is so important to monitor what works for each of us, and hopefully, consult with a health care professional to determine that what we are doing is healthy for us.

I am on a 1200 calorie limit as well, but, I am on the short side 5'2-3/4" and old, 65, and am doing this under my doctors supervision. I have been doing this since 1/1/17, and have lost 23 pounds so far.

I quit drinking coffee 2 weeks ago. I love Kwik Trips coffee and I was drinking 20 ounces every morning. I have had no caffeine withdrawal at all. No reason for quitting, and I probably would have gone back to drinking it if I started to get caffeine headaches, but so far, so good. I am just drinking water now. Personal…

I hate salmon. Always have, always will. I have tried to like it, but nope, it is not going to happen, no matter how it is cooked. When I make it for my husband, I always make cod for myself. I dip it in beaten egg, then in seasoned panko bread crumbs, spray with PAM and bake in 450 F oven for about 10 minutes. Gets really…

A co-worker has had one for about a year now. His is really quiet, you wouldn't know he was cycling all day. Every movement helps. I have a standing desk. You can use it either standing or sitting. I don't stand all day. Our IT dept hates the standing desks (they say it is harder to concentrate).

As long as your hydrated, you are fine. Remember, you get water from food and other beverages as well. It all counts toward water intake.

I am pretty sure that is an incorrect calorie amount for 1 c of fresh strawberries, more like 60. Berries are pretty low calorie unless you put sugar on them.

You need to follow your doctors advice. Your baby gains the most weight during the last trimester. I am pretty sure you do not want to be losing weight now. Follow the instructions your nutritionist gives you. Best of luck! You will get through this!

Your doctor is pretty insensitive. Don't let her comments get to you. You look good in both photos.

It is really good mixed in with an egg in a mug and microwaved. It makes enough for 2 breakfasts for me. I have it on a slice of toast or English muffin. So many flavors.

Wow! Really fantastic! Congratulations on your accomplishment!

Seriously, is there an up side to low/no carb? And is this a sustainable way to keep the weight off for life? Sounds pretty restrictive to me.

A rose by any other name.............. Call it what you will, but however you lose, whatever plan you choose, whether or not you cut carbs, or any other food group, it always, always, always comes down to eating less calories than you are burning for weight loss. ^^^This is fact. It is not a secret. Many factors can go…

So, for the average person, you are saying they do not need Fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes Just lean protein, healthy fats are all you need. I am serious about this, where do the fruits, vegetables come into a healthy diet? Sorry that I am so ignorant. Correct me if I am wrong, but the UK is advocating for 10…

Low carb, yes. Cut out overly processed foods, yes. No carb, close to impossible to eliminate carbs totally. Your body/brain needs carbs.

Spread with Nutella and roll up and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Is it the salad dressing? That can really up the calories. Also, nuts, cheeses, meat etc, but seems like a realistic amount for a meal. I always dip my salad in the dressing now. I find I use a lot less this way. A lot of eye openers for me when I began reading labels.

Maybe not, but sodium can be a huge consideration for many people and pickles are high in sodium.

Water. That is it. Everything has calories and they can add up very quickly. More importantly, they can make the difference between losing weight, and "why am I not losing weight?"

Everyday I fit chocolate into my calories. Sustainability for life, learning how to moderate all foods.

Unless she has a condition that is undiagnosed, which no one can determine on an internet forum. In which case she should be consulting with a medical professional.

Just saying, the average sedentary woman burns 1800 calories per day just living, burning 2000 is not being overly aggressive for someone that exercises 4-8 hours per day. To me, that is underestimating calorie burn for 4-8 hours of exercise that the OP says is not unusual for her. It doesn't take an expert to conclude…
