I have never been able to progress from knees to full pushups but I've been doing different incline and also different width push ups and seem to be progressing much better than I did before. I have found that I can almost do a wide push up now. I am following a strength program and usually add some more arm isolation…

An alternative to strapping is a compression sock, its eaiser as its actually hard to strap your own foot properly. It will also help with recovery.

It probably will also depend on how much you have to loose. A lot and it seems to take time because its small bits off over a larger surface area, a little and it seems to take even longer as margin for error with food is smaller. If you went from nothing 2-3 weeks ago to your daily program of exercise a loss can certainly…

After 5 years of owning an elliptical we finally worked out how to change the resistance setting! (The manual that came with it was crap). My husband struggles with knee pain so the elliptical is great for him. I like that you can ramp up and down speed without changing settings on the machine but at the same time it means…

I use free weights. I have a bench n rack and bar and yoga mat. I use bench for dips, push-ups etc. we have an elliptical for cardio. I do follow a program but I've been adding a few more upper body exercises as I have a weak upper body and strong lower body.

Do you sleep more deeply than before you lost weight? My experience with my kids is the deep sleepers wet the bed, they just dont wake to the sense of needing to go. The light sleeper wakes to go. My daughter who has had medication to help expand her bladder (by relaxing it so the urge to go wasnt there all the time) and…

Great progress! How close to lifting do you weigh yourself? It might still be water retention masking a weight loss because you can definitely see a dif in the back. Its a bit hard to tell from the photos but your posture might also be part of why your back looks smoother if your standing up straighter.

I've read over and over that it can take up to 2 years for skin to catch up although how much it will shrink is up to genetics it seems. i think part of the reason slower weight loss is touted as better for loose skin is that fact skin is able to shrink more in line with the weight loss rather than playing catch up. I've…

I have been on the up and down of weight gain/loss for the last 7 years (before that it was a slow but steady up). Each time I hit a wall around the same weight, and eventually slide back up. Though each time maintenance of a lower weight has actually been longer. The prob for me is I get that F**k it attitude about not…

I think OP is at goal range but has just told us what her starting weight was for reference. I think OP is at goal range but has just told us what her starting weight was for reference.

As a woman its hard to put on muscle so I am guessing that most of that 6-7kgs is fat, I think if your lucky and follow a good diet and strength program you can put on up to 0.5kg a month so in 4-5 months you have at most gained 2.5kg of muscle but its probably less than that. I see a lot of people comment on getting to…

My left ankle which I have rolled/sprained several times blows up after exercise but it doesn't hurt. I do get sore/foot numbing on both feet on the elliptical which is a common problem and concentrating on my technique has helped this. To me it is worth paying to see a dr/podiatrist esp if its hurting for a few days. Have…

You look taller too!

Sounds a lot like over training to me. I would suggest looking up an actual running training plan. There's plenty online. I will start another one in about 5 weeks for a 13km event. When I did it last year it has one short fast run, one avg pace avg run and a slow long run once a week. Strength and stretching were…

Memories of being asked to sit out of a netball game in primary school as our opponents that week were younger and therefore shorter than me . I didnt stick it out long after that. With time I probably would have improved to be able to play with girls closer to my own age. Grading isnt suppose to be age based but in school…

Thanks to FDA website. A dietary supplement is a product intended for ingestion that contains a "dietary ingredient" intended to add further nutritional value to (supplement) the diet. Do you really need them, depends on your health, diet and goals. I dont exclude food groups and eat a variety of food and have average goal…

Do you mean your food diary after you complete it for the day? That's a 5 week weight prediction if you had the same deficit everyday for the next 5 weeks.

One thing to note is that men arent recommended to go under 1500 calories, while your not the tallest bloke around you are def not a shortie.

I do them as a circuit rather than 3 sets in a row. Because I find 3 sets in a row would compromise my form but also I dont take a rest break unless I need to between different exercises.

OMG am I reading that right. 4hrs at the gym per day!

I imagine that I will look older with a thinner face, but then I could probably dress a bit younger if I was slim.. I love that a lot of peoples eyes really pop out in their after photos. I think that distracts from noticing more wrinkles or whatever in the face.

I have a couple pairs of these and love them. underarmour had some just before xmas. I have an alright Adidas pair but got a target pair on clearance by gina splading or something similar and like them better because the bikepant part is a bit firmer/thicker and Adidas. Google double layer running shorts.

I have the surge and sometime pushing the shopping trolley is picked up at bike riding. I would think that's less likely with something attached to your bra (mine's a wrist one).

I have fitbit aria scales and have also been on the BF scales(cant remember actual name but it was still bio impedance measuring) the at the dietician (one with hand held attachments). My scales and his gave pretty close results. Comparing these to online calculators where you take various measurements and visuals they…

Great progress, love the way your waist has shrunk!

Do you ever suffer from migraines? I had a friend and you could see her migraine coming as her face got a bit puffier a couple days before.

I think if you are pretty consistent with your activity (both intentional and non-intentional) TDEE is a good way to go. If you skip a session of exercise are you going to remember to reduce your cal intake to compensate for that? would probably think I'll make up that session later and never get round to it. Doing that…
-
You dont have your height or weight listed but @359lbs your TDEE (sedentary) is probably around 3000 cals. To lose 2lbs a week you need a daily deficit of 1000 cal which is why MFP has 1900 (its calculated your TDEE to be 2900). Your body can only metabolize so much fat for energy before it using muscle for energy so…

I think Jayded means weight wise it would be the same, 100g of popped kernels will take up more room than 100g of unpopped kernels but they weigh the same and will be teh same calories (provided you didnt add butter/oil etc during the popping process).

I was obese and put on about 22pds with each child. My first child I put on only 10pds up to 30 weeks and then another 10 by 35 weeks (she was born early). I didnt weigh myself again until about 1 week after giving birth and I had lost 20pds. 2nd child was a more steady weight gain all the weight through rather than heaps…
