Basically, I messaged a certain MFP member who will remain nameless, some general questions about Vyvanse. Duration, afternoon crash, etc. She had been pretty helpful until I had mentioned I saw somewhere that this woman would pour the pill into water and split it into two dosages for her son so that it would last longer…

I absolutely agree with this, and I do believe nutrition should be taught in school, but having children become so focused on calorie counting so early in their lives just seems inappropriate to me. Teach them about proteins, carbs, healthy fats - the purpose they serve. Teach them that water is the healthiest option. Junk…

Wow.. as a recovering bulimic this bothers me like crazy. Sounds like she's just projecting her problems on these innocent kids who at that age are like sponges. I'm all about promoting a healthy lifestyle for children (play, sports, more fruits & veggies, etc) but suggesting they count/burn off calories is absolutely…

What time do you take your pill? No crash whatsoever?
-
What dosage are you on? I'm on 50mg and I take it around 7:30am... I find that by 2-3 I'm getting headache-y & tired, and by 5:30 I'm totally crashed! I have to come home and take Advil and just veg out. I just feel like I'm sacrificing my afternoons. Did that happen to you initially? It's only my 3rd day so I'm obviously…

Recovering Bulimic/Binge Eater... feel free to add me

I love that book! Ugh, I'm applying for shirecares for assistance... otherwise it's $300/month for me. outrageous! but also probably the same amount I'd spend on binge foods if I didn't have it lol
-
Definitely, I was prescribed the medication to control my binges, not to lose weight. But I do need to lose weight & controlling the binges is necessary in that process.
-
let's do it.. where and when!? :P

Yes. Calories in VS Calories out!

You're not alone. Diagnosed with binge eating disorder and bulimia a few years ago. What honestly helped me was going to an inpatient eating disorder treatment center. I had to completely surrender to the fact that I had a problem and immerse myself in positivity and make a change. Two years later, I'm still slowly…

it's calories in vs calories out... you're fine

I was diagnosed with BED & Bulimia... The only thing that helped me was checking myself into an inpatient residential treatment center for 4 months. (Renfrew Center) Absolutely SAVED my life. I would look into doing something like that where you are fully immersed in changing your behaviors.
