I bag of Yogi/Tazo Peppermint tea + 1 bag of Yogi/Tazo Ginger tea + 12 oz water = Gingermint bliss. I can probably spend the rest of my life drinking just that. Add 1-2 tsp of honey for sweetness and yum!

This was my reaction as well. I typically eat 2-6 eggs a day. They're the most versatile food I have in my fridge. My sister used the last of the eggs last night so I woke up this morning to an empty carton and that pretty much set the mood for my day, lol. OP - eat whatever. I had a friend who used to eat grilled fish…

Yesterday I saw this guy who had a beard about mid-chest length and I honestly spent a good five minutes fantasizing about braiding beads into it. So yeah. I need to find me a BF with a long beard who doesn't mind me treating him like he's a Tolkien dwarf.

I had steak stew for dinner tonight and it was absolutely delicious. Also, medium well all the way.

I go to bed really, really late most nights so nighttime snacking has always been a problem for me. I make sure to always give myself a 100-150 kcal allowance (at least) for that. Fresh/frozen Greek Yogurt and/or fresh/frozen fruit, Jello (10 kcal/cup), peppermint balls (20 kcal/ball), or dark chocolate squares usually…

I bought the "EatSmart Precision Pro Digital Kitchen Scale" years ago for $20 and it does the job! The batteries take ages to die and it's accurate af. My only issue with it is that it doesn't weigh liquid and that when weighing really large dishes (i.e., trays) it can be a little difficult to read the screen, but for the…

Sorry, but no. That honor is reserved for crows, who are the coolest animals ever.

I adored PL. It was such a great movie. And don't even get me started on the soundtrack. It's so, so beautiful.

1. Evita 2. The Mummy 3. Mulan 4. The Miracle Worker (1962) 5. Spirited Away *whistles*

Not necessarily? There are anime of other demographics that OP's son might 1) enjoy and 2) learn valuable lessons from.

This. It's bizarre. I can't marathon movies for the life of me, yet I've literally binge-watched entire anime seasons in one or two sittings.
-
Oh man, I absolutely adored Yona. I finished the season in like 3 days, tbh, then immediately went on to read the manga. If you enjoyed Yona you should definitely check out the manhua "Chang Ge Xing" (it's so goddamn good, not to mention visually stunning) and the anime "Saiunkoku Monogatari."

The church shootout scene from Black Lagoon was so funny. Actually, that entire episode was hilarious. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Ys52gopqYY

Shirking my responsibilities so I can spend all day reading, tbh. Also, karoke. I can't sing for *kitten* but man do I love to.

Toddler Age? Studio Ghibli movies, Card Captor Sakura, Miraculous Ladybug, Kaleido Star, Avatar, Sailor Moon, Digimon, Pokemon, .Hack, etc. I got my two nieces hooked on Naruto and Inuyasha. I don't think their mother--my sister--ever forgave me for that. Last year the smallest one begged for an Inuyasha costume and…

Okay, so I love karaoke, right? And there's this one verse in one of my favorite songs that I always mess up because I don't have the lung capacity for it--I always get winded halfway through. You can imagine how surprised I was when I not only nailed it, but actually had breath to spare afterwards. It's such a small…

This! I did this about two weeks ago--made a crap ton of boiled chicken breast and divided it up in baggies, then used the chicken for different meals throughout the week. I had a stir-fry one day, a salad another, tortillas the next, soup after that, etc. I don't really enjoy eating the exact same thing every single day…

I tried a keto diet once. I lasted a week. I love carbs way too much. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ While I can't speak for anyone else, I've personally lost a lot of weight in a relatively short time frame on a high carb diet. I've been monitoring my carb intake to see if there's some sort of correlation between the amount of carbs I eat and…

I didn't grow up eating lots of vegetables, either. My family just isn't big on them. Needless to say, when I became an adult and realized I needed to start incorporating more veggies into my diet, I hated just about everything I tried. It's been a few years since and I'm still really, really picky, but I've managed to add…

Hey! We have similar stats - I'm 30 lbs down and I have 145 lbs to go! I sent you a request! :)

What an utterly fantastic post. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts and insights with us--I can't even tell you how much I needed to read this right now. Wishing you the best!

I personally weigh myself first thing in the morning (7AM-ish) every week. I always make sure to pee beforehand. Pooping before the weigh-in is ideal, but it doesn't always happen.

The peeps at MFP are actual care bears. When I was a teenager I joined a writing forum and I think I'm still traumatized from that experience. The forum called itself "cutthroat" but tbh, actually having my throat cut would have been less painful than the condescending vitriol disguised as "constructive criticism" I…
