  • @RangerRickL Thank you for the post about pass days. Unfortunately I completely blew it today and went way over calories again. Pass #4 Back on the wagon again tomorrow.
  • Pass Day #3 We spent the entire day with new friends and I had my meals at the restaurant planned out to be under calories...but I couldn't say no to popcorn at the movies. After that I decided to enjoy myself at dinner and had several mixed drinks. I will probably take another pass day on Wednesday as I will be travelling…
  • Yes x 3
  • @gus130 Health is very important. Hope you feel better soon! @RangerRickL I had the same thing happen to me. I was not hungry but my boyfriend got a choclate covered cookie. I had a taste and almost bought one. I had the exercise calories for it but I had to guess a little bit at dinner so I decided not to get one.…
  • yes x 3 I eat my exercise calories back. I try not to and I've started logging my exercise at the end of the day so I don't eat those calories. I am only 3 weeks into my weight loss journey so I am still learning to moderate.
  • yes x 3 I sort of cheated and counted 2 10 minute walks that I normally do not track. The lesson is to eat when my boyfriend does so I don't steal his food.
  • Exercise: 20 min walk at work Calories: 300 under Tracked: yes I'm back on track!
  • Pass #2 I would have made it if I hadn't made my tacos too spicy so I had to down 2 cups of milk. This is my first UAC and I am still learning. I don't think I will make it to the winner's circle as I will be going out of town twice this month. I'm going to take it one day at a time and do as much of the challenge as I can
  • Exercise: 20 minutes on stationary bike (level 3 uphill), 10 minutes running, 10 minute walking. I'm proud of myself for making it through the running portion Calories: Under....I even had some Halo Top ice cream Tracking: Yes
  • Exercise: some intense cycling, an itsy bitsy run, light swimming, and an hour walk Calories: under (if I counted right) Tracked: we went out to dinner so it took a little guess work. Hopefully coconut daquaris are like coconut martinis and my steak frites were 500 cal and not 1200
  • Exercise: I tried going for a run on lunch. It ended up in a walk but I'm still happy I did it. Also last Saturday at work since I am going back to school to be a teacher come August. I decided to take a vacation before school starts Calories: Just barely under. I did enjoy a peanutbutter sandwhich and a steak today…
  • @Gus130 Wishing you strength to get through this. @Slimpossible007 Congratulations! You'll see a 1 on that scale soon! Exercise: walks on break and lunch, 3/4 mile run, 20 minutes of stationary bike Calories: barely scraped by with 5 calories under goal. I just got so hungry after the exercise Tracked: yes
  • @conchita962 That's awesome! I'm very happy for you!
  • @conchita962 Congrats on the weight loss! If you are going for 2 hour runs, I would definitely eat back at least half the calories MFP gives you to refuel. I'm jealous that you are able to keep coffee. I simply can't drink it without A LOT of sugar in it. I couldn't afford the 300 calories in the morning. I'm happy for you…
  • Yes x 3 Above all I'm thankful for my health and that of my friends' and family. I am also greatful for how supportive this group is.
  • @harringtonen. Popcorn weighs almost the same before and after popping. Just the amount of space it takes up changes (dramatically :) ). Measure by weight, not volume :) . I have not had popcorn in a while. We have an air based popcorn popper (no oil :) ). Foods rich in iron include:* Red meat, pork and poultry * Seafood *…
  • Pass #1 There was pizza and root beer floats at work today. I only had the pizza. I went to a book club meetup for the first time today . It was really fun but I hadn't accounted for all the drinks.
  • I'm thinking about 2 questions today. Does anyone know if you measure the popcorn before or after it's popped? Does anyone have any iron rich recipes that hopefully don't go too far over on the calories? I recently found out I'm anemic and even though I take iron pill, I should be trying to get natural iron every day.
  • July 4th (A little late because I fell asleep before the fireworks...I start work pretty early) Exercised: 20 min walk at lunch Calories: yes, I barely made it. I kind of thought homemade popcorn was a freebie and then I tracked it and I was really surprised. Tracked: yes @Dosse1320 Don't feel discouraged. It happens to…
  • Exercise: 2 very slow 10 minute walks to the coffee shop and an 8 minute run for a half mile. It's my first time getting back to running and I didn't injure myself! Some arm work Calories: Within budget with the extra calories. I wasn't sure I'd make it since we went to a trivia meetup tonight and that involves food. I…
  • July 2 Exercised?: Yes. 2.5 hour hike. Approximately 5 miles. Calories?: Yes if you can eat the exercise calories back. I'm pretty proud I only ate back around 400 of 1400 calories burned! Tracked?: yes indeed
  • Exercise: 40 mins Tracked everything: I went to a BBQ so I approximated Calories: within goal
  • Hi all, I'm Erin from CO. I'm excited for this challenge! --to lose 4 lbs --to log every day --to be honest about what I log (including added sugar and salad dressing) --to work out 3x per week --to go on a hike at least 1x per week It would be awesome to stay within my calorie goal but right now the focus is to figure out…
  • I would love to be adopted! I've been doing MFP for about 11 days and I am starting to realize just how difficult it is. I struggle with eating 1200 calorie sweets and eating vegetables. I gained 45lbs in the past year and my goal is to lose 35 of it.
  • I would love some friends to motivate me. I'm 10-days in and just starting to realize how hard this is
  • Hi I'd like to be adopted? I'm 25 years old, 168lbs and I work an office job. I'd really like to find a happy medium for weight loss. I overdid it with the exercise so right now I can only do active rest and stretching until I get rid of the hip pain. It's been getting better over the last 2 days but I think I need advice…
  • Personally, I need to go with the gradual approach. I used to voraciously crave and eat 2 candy bars on my second break at work. Then I started bringing a sugary yogurt for my second break instead. Now I have added more protein to my lunch so most days I am not even hungry during my second break. I don't think this would…
  • Thanks everyone! The exercises really helped. I wasn't able to get through all of the limber 11 exercises because I didn't have the equipment and but the ones I was able to do really helped. The yoga video was a godsend. It really helped and it was right on my level. Sometimes if I try to do yoga beyond my level I end up…
  • Feel free to add me too!
