I switched to vaping about 2 years ago to quit smoking. From when I researched it, it does contain calories like 22 calories per 5ml I believe. So not really enough to mess with ones weight loss goals or make them gain weight. But don't hold me to that. Lol

We already did an appeal. Because I'm 33 what i have wrong the insurance doesn't consider life threatening. Oh but at 35 years old I guess it is lol. Gotta love insurance. Only way they will do it before I'm 35 is if my heart muscle starts to become damaged or worse. It's ridiculous.

No I don't have Leiden Factor V. I had a DVT during a hospital stay years back when they were still trying to figure out what was wrong with me. During that hospital stay they finally figured out it was Crohns. My DVT was in my right upper arm. I had to go on blood thinners for 6 months which then I developed internal…

Having heart and lung problems definitely makes it much harder to be active.

Anxiety 100% goes along with the Mitral Valve prolapse. I do have a small regurgitation but they said it isn't bad. I have 2 echo's a year and 1 out of the 2 may show it. Palpitations can be scary, so until you convince your mind that their harmless you will experience anxiety. Which anxiety and stress itself triggers…

I don't really get cravings when I'm on a diet. But when I do I allow myself to have a little something as long as it fits within my calories for the day. Although I did just go to the grocery store and seen these cookies that looked amazing. 149 calories for 2 cookies = a good treat for me lol.

If we take out the calorie burn issue that so many people are mentioning, you ARE losing and quickly so you are right to eat back up to 50% of your exercise calories. (edited to add, I didn't do the quote thingy right! doh!) [/quote] If I still lose to quickly I was advised to bump it up to 75% and if still losing to…

Yeah I plan on doing this for a couple weeks and see how it does. I'm fine with a 1.5 pounds loss a week but anything more than 2 isn't ok. I'll get it all figured out. My doctor put me in contact with a certified personal trainer and I talked to her over the weekend. She said because I'm walking at 3 to 3.5mph at a…

Usually at a incline of 6, but sometimes higher. Heart rate within 70 to 75% of my maximum heart rate. I've been losing to quickly actually so I have bumped my calories up some and started eating back 50% of my exercise calories Heart doctor has told me my heart issue doesn't impact how many calories I burn while working…

Yeah I started Remicade this time last year and put on all the weight over the course of last year. I will say I haven't had a flare up that I needed to be hospitalized for since December 2015. Before that I was in and out of the hospital every couple months. So it's definitely helping.

I have a Fitbit HR and I have a Apple Watch. I use to use my Fitbit all the time but the heart rate monitoring wasn't that great. So I wear my Apple Watch all the time. But if you don't have a iOS device then the Apple Watch is pointless lol My friend has the Fitbit blaze and likes it.

I've always been able to control my weight since being diagnosed with Crohns. I know a lot of people lose weight or can't gain weight when they have it, until they get put on a medication. Then some people ballon up. Unfortunately I was one of them lol. I wanted to stop doing my infusions but the doctor said the initial…

Wow that is literally amazing! Congrats on the weight loss! I know my doctor told me to just take it easy and work myself back up to where I want to be fitness wise.
-
Makes sense. So I guess my Apple Watch is pretty spot on with a Fitbit. So if I'm getting two devices that are giving me roughly the same calories burned while working out would you say that my burn isn't to far off from what their saying?

I have a heart rate monitor, Apple Watch and a Fitbit

The electrodes literally eat my skin lol. I can't have anything done for 2 more years because my insurance won't pay for the procedure because of my age. I have to be 35. It's ridiculous.

I'm on Remicade.

Congrats on the weight loss!! A stroke! That had to be extremely scary! That's my fear with the Afib is my risk of stroke. I'm suppose to take blood thinners but my stomach doc doesn't want me on them as it can do more harm with me having Crohns

I have a ecg monitor at home that I'm suppose to use when I exercise so it can pick up what's going on. But it's so hard to workout with wires attached to you.

Yeah stress triggers mine. It's definitely a horrible feeling. I was running on the treadmill at the gym one day and I had an episode. My heart rate was already like 150 and it shot up to 275! That was probably the worst one I've ever had. I couldn't get it to come down even after trying the VM. After about 30 min I…

Wow that is awesome! I try not to beat myself up on the level of exercise I'm allowed to do. I know it can all be done on just diet alone. But congrats on your weight loss!!

What kind of SVT. I have 2 lol. The Afib and then out of no where my heart will shoot up to 200 bpm. They said I must have an extra electrical pathway and that's what causes the extreme high heart rate because when it happens I have a normal heart rhythm.

Oh yeah I was anemic with all of my pregnancies and experienced more palpitations than normal. I was diagnosed with Mitral valve prolapse when I was 15. I had the occasional heart palpitations but never let it bother me. But about a year in a half ago the heart palpitations changed followed by pain in my chest, left…

I'm sorry to hear about your elbow! Yeah I'm in no hurry to lose the weight. It took a year to put it on, so I figure a year to get it off. I just want to do it the correct way. I guess I don't feel like I'm getting a sufficient enough workout by walking. I'm use to pushing myself and doing interval training and strength…

I am frustrated to a certain extent. More so frustrated I can't do anything but a moderate/brisk walk (which is killing my knee's lol). Before the heart issues I would run, I could do an elliptical and strength training. I would burn quite a bit. But now I'm limited. Yes I know 200 calories burned is better than nothing…

I would say it's water weight as well. I typically fluctuate a couple pounds sometimes.
-
That was before I asked my doctor. Since talking to him I adjusted my goals.

I thought about that or on the days my stomach isn't feeling well maybe just not exercise or at least not as long? I usually tend to have only 1 maybe 2 days my stomach hurts a week.

I plan on losing 45 more pounds by the end of this year. I'm the heaviest I've ever been in my life. I have heart problems and Crohns. I was on exercise restrictions for the past year and I was put on a new Crohns medication. The Crohns med has helped with my flare ups BUT it made me gain around 35 pounds. I'm finally off…

Mine is currently set at 1.5 loss a week at sedentary and it gives me 1390 calories a day. I normally try to eat up to 1200 but I wasn't including my exercise calories. When I realized I'm losing a little to quickly I bumped up my calorie intake and was going to eat back about 50% of my exercise calories and see how that…
