What worked for me was finding one of those lipton teas you add to a bottle of water. Just find a flavor that you really like and it makes it a lot easier to kick the soda habit. (I enjoyed, like really, REALLY loved, lipton coconut passionfruit until they discontinued it.)

Ooh pick me, pick me. I eat processed foods all the time and even fast food sometimes. As long as I'm under my calorie goal and still losing weight, who cares.

Technically speaking, in the morning when you first wake you are slightly dehydrated and have lost water weight, so it's not completely accurate. Having a glass of water, before eating, would be a more accurate time to weigh yourself if you wanted to do so before eating.
