Hi I'm 5'2", started at 214, currently 187 and looking to get down to 140s. Started running last year, currently training for a 10 mile race and also a fan of strength training, feel free to add me!

Unfortunately, as your looks change you may appeal to a wider audience since "skinny" is the so called "standard" of beauty in the US. I haven't noticed any strangers hitting on me or being creepy, it's actually been people that I already know that have come out of the woodwork. Some that I've known for YEARS are all of a…

Sent you a request! My advice is to start with baby steps... setting small goals like logging every day and adding exercise slowly. Eventually set another goal to measure your food and stay under your calorie limit etc, and get more intense with your workouts. I started off trying to be perfect and after a month I was…

This! I went shopping for a bathing suit yesterday (fun right?) I tried on a size 16 and it was huge on me (I used to be size 18), tried on what I thought was a size 14 it was tight but fit..when I took it off I realized it was a size 12! Yet I was so focused on it being too tight that I didn't realize until later that…

Success on wearing my "goal" skirt last night it was comfortable and I felt great! On my way to the show the Lyft driver and I were talking about how I avoid eating out because I want to eat healthy and she responded, "But you're not overweight you can afford to eat out if you want." :o I had to look around to see if…

A couple of running NSVs! I dropped my car off for service and then RAN back home 3.8 miles! I also started back up with my 10k training and was able to comfortably run 4.8 miles in under an hour.. I may be slow but definitely building up my endurance, 6 months ago I could not run a half mile without feeling like I was…

Hi! I've lost 30 lbs, need to lose another 30! Been weight lifting and running and could use some friends for additional motivation...add me!

At around 10lbs I started getting alot of "did you change your hair?" and "is that a new top?" from coworkers or friends.. at around 20lbs I started getting comments pretty much daily that I looked smaller and now at around 30lbs, I haven't been getting many comments directly but friends and family have told me they have…

Great job! May I ask why are you only weighing yourself once a month?

You're killing it, awesome job!

Finally seeing some inches lost in my stomach! I was feeling smaller and confirmed it when I went running and my tights (that used to be too tight) kept sliding down....so I figured what the hey let me try this denim skirt I've been wanting to fit into again (haven't worn it in at least 6 years) and sure enough I was able…

I was on depo years ago and gained 25 lbs in like 6 months. I also had mood swings and lower libido... isn't that the opposite of what you want when on bc? Anyway, the hunger I felt was intense to the point of always having to keep trail mix/nuts/fiber bars in my car or purse to satiate the monster. As soon as I was off it…

Yes! I did things backwards I signed up for a 5k on Thanksgiving morning last year had zero experience running and finished it just barely at 47+ mins. I decided sign up for another one and trained using c25k and finished that one at 40 mins. I spontaneously signed up for a third 5k recently and completed it at 35:50! I…

I'm soooo slow because I do great during the week and then tend to go crazy on the weekends. I've upped my exercise to try and balance that out and next goal is to track everything (yes even on the weekends). My scale has not moved for literally 3 weeks....correction it has not moved in the right direction for weeks :D

Hi Kasey! I'm short 5'2 and definitely carry most of my weight in my stomach/hip area. I started running at 211 lbs and though I was slow I finished my first 5K at 46 minutes! Then I trained with C25K and was able to cut 6 minutes off that time. What helped me was to take breaks and run every other day to allow my joints…

My job got us a trainer at the beginning of November 2016, on the first day of the group class our trainer said he would work us up to being able to do 600 crunches... I could barely do 100 that day, but today I did the full 600 (200 regular, 200 bicycle, 200 legs in the air)! AND 30 regular pushups, and 3 reps of multiple…

I was able to apply nail polish to my toes by simply sitting and easily bending over to apply two coats on each side! I did not die or stop breathing due to my stomach being in the way :o

I was washing my hands in the restroom and a coworker came in and talked to someone else in the restroom but not to me.. then when I said "hi" she said.. "wow I didn't recognize you! You're losing weight like that?!" I said.. "Yup".

Being sedentary not just at work but at home (reading, watching tv i.e. not moving much) and I gained a ton of weight when I stopped walking and taking public transport and started driving but didn't change my late night eating habits....
