- Using smaller plates for better portion control. - Not having breakfast and instead eating my first meal at around 12pm. - Doing the exercise that works for ME, not what society thinks is good for me. For example, most people encourage me to go to the gym. I find it extremely boring, to the point where I end up not going…

Finally getting to a Normal BMI. Only 2 kg to go!

I hate this from people so so much. I just want to tell them sarcastically "Thank you so much for your vote of confidence in me." As in, it just makes me feel like they think I never have my sh** in order... Another thing I really hate is the comment "Oh but you're already good enough as you are! You can stop now!" No, I…

- getting out old clothes you haven't worn in years and trying them on and they fit, it's like magic. My next goal is to fit in my wedding dress again, I'm "only" 7-8kg away :) - the reaction some people have to your weight loss. The passive-aggressiveness / false niceness is truly off the charts. - the comments of "you're…

What i do is I still count calories during my cheat day, then the next 2-4 days eat slightly less than normal OR exercise more than normal, so that the average for that week is still around my goal. I allow myself a cheat meal if I'm abroad or once every few weeks as a treat.

I was really rooting for her. Someone else had asked how I did it, and at the time I described exactly what I did and it worked so well for them! So I hoped it would work for Summer. But I guess everyone is different... Hope I didn't scare her off, it was not my intention for sure.

I have lost 14kg since the begnning of November 2016 (that's 30 pounds), and I have another 14kg til I'm at my ideal goal. So far I have had good comments from people. Not that many have actually told me anything to my face. At work three people have commented positively, but I hated it so much when one of them said "you…

I'm trying a whole foods plant based diet at the moment, as per recommendations in The China Study (see Forks over knives on youtube). Your body does not need 30% protein. 10% protein meets basic needs. So I personally bump that up to 15%, and with beans and lentils it is easy enough to reach that target. I set my dily…

this post could not have come at a better time. I'm plateuing right now, been stuck at 76-ish (kg) for the past two weeks, and I can't help wondering what I'm doing wrong. Reading your detailed analysis is making me realise there are actually many factors that could be masking my true weight, including a high-salt sushi…

I FORGOT TO ADD: ****** Under the list of things NOT to eat: - Chocolate, chocolate spread - Cakes, cookies, sweets, candy bars - puddings, custard, pastries, - Biscuits, crackers, cereal-bars - Almost all commercially prepared breakfast cereals have lots of sugar added to them. (plain rolled oats are a natural tasty…

while it very well may have been because of undereating and overdieting, I am more inclined to think there was an unrelated cause that just came out more simply because you stressed your body. Bottom line: I doubt it is just because of your diet. Your liver should have had enough stores of Iron and B12, you only started…

WARNING: LONG POST. Hello Summer, First of all I want to tell you that you are not alone and that we have all felt without motivation and without a clue, at some point. But you have done the most important thing, which is to realise that you need to do something about it! We're all on the same boat. My name is Esther, I am…
