Thanks for the feedback- my max effort for squats yesterday was 50 lbs... I could add more sets for warm up, sounds like a good idea. Also... Wednesday rest for weights or no cardio either? Speed walking on the treadmill restful enough?

Just joined a gym. I've only been weightlifting for 6 months (at a friend's house). So the gym is new and intimidating. It took a few attempts but I made myself walk over to the free weights area to use the barbells. It was mostly men over there who were all lifting a lot more than me. Then I worked out. That's all to my…

I had knee pain for over a year from excess running and excess weight. (I stopped running, the pain continued for over a year.) Strength training helped my knee pain go away. Ever since I started doing deep squats I've strengthened the muscles in my legs which stabilized my knee. Using a foam roller on my IT band helps a…

You are awesome. <3 I love your positive attitude.

Your words are powerful- positive or negative. Both the words you say to others and the words you say to yourself. My favorite CBT exercise- write down your self talk and ask yourself if you would say it to a close friend that you love. If your answer is- no way, that's so harsh and mean- then why is it ok to say that to…

@earthnut I don't know about the android app, sorry, but if you login at a desktop: home/ settings/ diary settings/ nutrients tracked.

Your food diary looks really healthy. If it bothers you to see that your sugar column is "red" at the end of the day- you could go to settings and change it so you can't see sugars. I'm finding it easier to take some of those columns off so I don't get too caught up in the details.

I lost it when I was depressed, came back when I wasn't depressed anymore. It wasn't weight-loss related though. Are you feeling down? Maybe it's from stress from weight loss? Sorry, I hope you get some more feedback.

@cphillpot Thanks for posting that video! I've never heard of diastasis recti, but I've been wondering about what's going on with my abs for a while. I'm too creeped out to check though. I don't like the idea of pushing on muscle separation. Eek. (I'll calm down and check.) Too bad I've been doing so many crunches and…

Me too! What works best for me in the evenings is as soon as I finish dinner I floss, brush teeth and put my retainer in. Then I sip water if I need to. And I try to find other ways to relax besides eating. Getting on mfp is kinda relaxing.

Clementines (cuties) are a quick breakfast- easy to peel, like a banana.

I second this. Marriage counseling is great, it might be covered by insurance too. I know several counselors who recommend the book The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work by Gottman. He talks about "the harsh startup" when communicating and how it's a bad sign. Maybe if you're not used to being assertive you're…

If I had to choose one: almond butter. But they are both good.

I lost weight quickly last year trying a quick fix diet but then gained a lot back. Now I'm trying to get to the root of the problem and really make a change in my habits. I don't want restrictions in the types of food I'm eating this time, just want to stay in my calorie limit and I'm working on not snacking when I'm…
