5'6", 39y/o, 133lbs, 34-27-38, 32DD, size S tops, size 4 or 6 dress, size 28 jeans. For exercise I get 10,000-15,000 steps per day, 3-4 running workouts per week and walking workouts on non-run days (I also walk to work and drive as little as possible). Currently I do weight training as prescribed by my physical therapist…

I live in Minneapolis...you're not missing anything. I agree that the snowflakes are pretty. I like to take pictures of them when they land on my windshield. But snow just gray, messy, and just plain sucks. Now there's a metaphor to think about...maybe being called a "special snowflake" isn't so bad after all. Because this…

I don't have MS but my partner does so I can sympathize with your struggles. Thankfully he doesn't have mobility issues yet, but he suffers from fatigue, muscle stiffness, and his vision gets bad sometimes. He amazes me every day with his mental stamina, and some days I can't even keep up with him. I can only credit this…

If your maintenance calorie allotment for that day is 2000, and you banked 2000 for the weekend, then you're still under 1500 for the week. I don't see a problem here, except maybe a stuffed tummy that's causing a little panic :)

There is another lesson to be learned here: if you need to resort to name calling to make your point, just stop. Your just trying to prove your right but only succeeding making yourself look less credible.

I would think it is obvious. I serve on a few diversity & inclusion committees, and I've also lived in several predominantly black and Hispanic neighborhoods in NYC, MI, and OH and I can assure that it a racially derogatory term for a white person.

Enter all your meals and snacks for the entire week in MFP and and only buy what you need. I do a big shopping trip on Sunday and a small produce re-stock and weekend food trip on Friday. I prep breakfasts on Sunday, cook lunch/dinner once on Monday and again on Wednesday...so twice for the week. Friday, Saturday, and…

I figured that out, but the first time I encountered the term on MPF I was new and it was directed at me, I didn't know that, and I was pissed, my hackles went up and I got argumentative and stopped listening. We need to keep nuances like this in mind when replying to new posters. The delivery of a message is often as…

I agree that if someone is in blatant denial, for example, "I'm only eating 700 calories a day, I'm afraid of gaining weight, and I weigh 80lbs but I am NOT anorexic" or "I'm only eating 1200 calories but I don't own measuring spoons or cups or a scale", then yes, they are wrong. I have personally had people tell me I'm…

True story. I've only been on MFP for a short while, but it's not my first trip to the weight loss rodeo and I lurked for awhile before posting. I also learned really quickly that there is a topic search function and stickies. The same questions get asked ad nauseam and I'm sure those that have been here longer than me get…

They only way I reach a goal is by breaking it down into much smaller goals. I made 2 pounds my goal...then another 2...then another 2. What did I have to do to reach that 2 pound goal? Track. So I'd commit to track for 1 day...then another and another until I tracked a week straight. Then I'd track another week, then a…

One more piece of advice- don't post these types of posts. They never end well for anyone. Don't throw a punch if you're not ready for a fight.

In defense of the OP, I've seen quite a bit of the "this is my experience, and your experience is different, so your experience is wrong" mentality on this site. I've also seen the term "snowflake" thrown around when someone's opinion or experience differs from their own, and quite frankly that incredibly rude and…

Ditto on that! I lived in NYC for 14 years and anything less than a 4.0 feels like a crawl. I also stand in the street while waiting to cross, jaywalk, and walk in the street when the sidewalks are too crowded :) I miss a lot of things about NYC, but I don't miss the crowded streets.

I gained 15 lbs of water weight within the first month of having my Mirena. Four months later, after I also I stared getting cycatic acne and stabbing pains in my pelvis, I had it removed. The weight was gone within two weeks. I've never had weight gain issues with the pill (and I've been on 6 different types over the…

How much your cup changes vs band depends on how much is fat vs breast tissue. I have very dense breast tissue so my band changes but not my cups, so I went from a 34DD to a 32DD. When lose the fat around the sides of my rib cage and the armpit area they "look" smaller but they haven't actually changed. @macchiatto I have…

For the same reason there are body builders and competitive athletes who think those that exercise casually and don't get overly obsessed with their diet are lazy, or automatically assume that everyone that is overweight is out of shape. I actually had someone on this site tell me that person who runs marathons and…

All points well noted. Unfortunately when this usually happens when I am already moving into the turn because I decided it was safe to do so and often in busy urban areas with busy streets, during rush hour where we also can't just slam our breaks on without taking the chance of causing an accident...and if that happens…
-
But to counter this argument, I hate when a cyclist sees you put your blinker on and sees you move to make the turn, they make eye contact with you, then speed up to try and get past you before you can turn. How are we supposed to gauge whether or not we have time to turn without cutting you (not YOU specifically) off with…

@emmaling142 If you want to talk about weird ribcages try having scoliosis. My hips are lopsided and my left ribs stick out weird...all the time, not just when I lay down. Get over it at move on with your life! Don't waste time worrying about things you can't control.

When I said I washed my vegetables I was totally being sarcastic  Personally the term eating "clean" annoys me...
-
Do I eat "clean"? Why yes, I do wash my vegetables because I prefer not to get bugs and dirt in my teeth.

I've used both Hello Fresh and Blue Apron and found their meals to be pretty high in calories (500-850) but Hello Fresh is consistently lower. They were too high for me when I was trying to lose but now that I'm in maintenece I get deliveries about every other week. I like to try the recipes. If I like it, I try and find…

I found it easier to build up strength on the treadmill then transition outside. You'll probably have to do walk/run intervals for a few weeks to allow your muscles and joints to adjust to the pavement and uneven surfaces. It's definitely harder so don't get discouraged if you feel like your starting at zero again.

I make due with the hamster wheel most days, but I'm not usually running for more than 30-40 minutes at a time. AI would prefer to be outside but due to sub-zero temps in the winter, and 90+ degree, high humidity summers combined with my horrible allergies, my window of opportunity for outdoor running (or any outdoor…

I have a 'desk' job but I walk to and from work, walk between buildings for meetings, walk to the grocery store, and lift a 40 mannequin multiple times a day to do my job...but most of the time I sit at my desk. On a 'stuck at my desk' or 'lazy weekend' day I log a bare minimum of 5000 steps so I use the lightly active…

I will put 'DO NOT DISTURB' in a giant red box to block off work time and people STILL try and schedule over it. I've just started rejecting meetings when people don't respect the calendar. I might just start scheduling 'PEE BREAK' is yellow boxes and see how that goes...
-
When you literally have back to back mettings all day except for one 30 min block...then someone tries to schedule a meeting at that time. I mean COME ON PEOPLE!!! I won't do that to someone simply on principle.

I would continue to work on losing weight and getting healthy because but also do On my way! Investigation as to the psychological basis of your eating habit is to make sure you maintain the weight loss for the long haul...it will just get harder after having a baby. First thing, find a new doctor. I've had to fire some…

If you were weary by too small of a size or were at the top of the range for your size it could take more than 10lbs. Give it time and you will get there.
