As einstein once said “Energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be changed from one form to another.” I believe our souls are our energy and is still present after death. Maybe our brain sees the energy of the deceased as what they once were, It's just a thought? I actually sit on the fence with this topic…

The 3 minute walk made up for it though

W3d1 done

W2d3 done, week 2 complete!

I do the c25k outside but I like to do a bit of cross trainer each night in the comfort of my home.
-
W2d2 done. No more aching ankles, still need to work on pace and breathing properly though. Bit icy too at the moment!

Found it http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/30-couch-to-5k-running-program-c25k

Hi, I'm also training to run a 10k trail but can't run 5k yet! Fortunately I've got until august to to train. I'm doing the couch 2 5k program and it's working for me, I'm only on week 2 so I'm still a beginner. There's a group on here that just discus c25k and log their reports. I'll try and find a link.

There's a 10k charity run in August I want to do. Fortunately there's still a long time to go because I'm no where near enough ready, I'm still a beginner, there's nothing wrong with ambition and it acts as a good motivator! As long as I finish I've proved to myself I can do what I want to if I put my mind to it.

If you type parkrun into google most places have local groups that organise and Marshall 5k runs every Saturday. When I can run 5k I will start doing them. I'm from England but the organisation is worldwide. Worth checking out.

Week 2 day 1 done. Feeling all the better for it now!
-
Thanks for the advice. Will do that.

I've hit my target weight of 14 stone. I used to be a little over 15 stone. I'm 6'4". I thought my belly would have gone by the time I hit my target weight.
-
Thanks for your reply psulemon I shall take a look at the link you've supplied. I know I'm not hitting anywhere near .8g of protein per lb, maybe a third at the most.

W1D3 done. Heavy legs seemed lighter, I wasn't out of breathe as much either! thanks @showjumper for the tip on slowing down, I think it has helped. Also, my aching ankles were hardly noticeable! Week 1 complete.
-
@showjumper I'm running outside with proper running shoes. I guess the terrain combined with being new to running will explain the impact on my aches. I will look into the speed of my runs and hopefully get less out of breathe.
-
Do you think it affects your fitness? I get out of breathe quickly but I've only just started exercising properly, I'm hoping that will change quickly and the vaping will not hold me back. I want to quit the vaping too, after 3 years I'm still not ready lol.
-
W1D2 done. Out of breathe a bit, legs feel heavy but all good. My ankles ache a bit. Is this normal for someone not used to running? @nikkit321 seems you no longer need it if you can continually run for 25 mins. I wish I was at your stage, I'll get there soon enough I'm sure.
-
@showjumper How are you finding it? You are a lot more advanced than me, I'm doing w1d2 tomorrow
-
If I can do it so can you!
-
W1D1 complete! It wasn't as bad as I expected it to be. I was out of breathe a bit and my legs felt heavy but I guess that's because of my fitness level, or lack of it. Already looking forward to D2!
-
I'm starting week 1 day 1 tomorrow morning and I'm very excited. I consider myself unfit and unhealthy. Ex takeaway junkie and couch potato! I'm eating better now and hopefully exercising more will make me fitter too. Good luck and congrats to everybody taking part.

I also want to do a 10k run in August so if I can achieve the 5k challenge I will do the 5k 2 10k challenge. I'm not too heavy, in fact I'm slim everywhere except my stomach. I want to lose the belly first then evenly put weight back on using weights. I will also use a cross trainer to help improve and maintain my fitness…
