  • I am open to adding some new female friends. I must be upfront and tell you that I keep my friends list updated with only active friends though. I tend to keep my friends list between 25 and 30 so that I can get to know my friends and interact with them regularly. I am chatty and I post frequently about weight loss and…
  • Continue taking those progress pictures! Take some in just your underwear (for your eyes only) so that you can see as much as possible. Let those progress pictures drive you! It won't be long and you will physically see more when you look in the mirror too. You've Got This!! Congrats on your loss so far!
  • I weigh every morning. My scale syncs my info to my Fit Bit which in turns syncs it over to MFP. Weighing daily keeps me in check and lets me see my trends. :)
  • Very good info she has offered here!
  • I would highly recommend that you schedule a Design Your Own Program with your Planet Fitness Personal Trainer. Access to the personal trainer is part of your membership. I have been a PF member since Jan of 2017. I've been blessed to have one of the BEST trainers ever. PF offers classes with the Trainer as well. This is a…
  • I just wanted to post some encouragement for you ladies! Y'all got this! Having a great support network (friends on MFP that are active and will interact with you daily) will make a huge impact on your success. I joined MFP just a couple days after I joined the gym in Jan of 2017. I was weighing 260 lbs. I changed…
  • @ChelleDee07 holy moly you look amazing! Thanks for the pictures! I’m 242-ish and my end goal is 150-ish (started at 255) so quite similar to you. Thank you for the kind compliment. You're very welcome. I know when I was in the midst of losing my weight the Success Stories with pictures helped to motivate me. I would be in…
  • I have loose skin, but it’s not as bad as I’d imagined. I lost more than 100 lbs in 8 months from Jan to Sept of 2017. I started at 260. I wish I had taken a picture that day. I had already lost weight by the time I took my before picture. I’ve maintained that loss for almost two years. Strength training will help tighten…
  • Thank you for your input, but I lost the weight... I am healthier and my weight and bloodwork show this. Dr just ran everything and has told me to go out and live my healthy life. Therefore, I IMPROVED my life. I DID NOT advise the OP to do anything... I SIMPLY answered their question.
  • AND that is exactly what I told the OP.... that I was heavier than them. The question was IS IT POSSIBLE!? I answered the question. I didn't advise OP to do anything. I answered the question.
  • The OP asked a question and I answered with my feedback. Y'all don't have to agree with any thing I shared. We will have to agree to disagree. MFP gives you the data, yes. BUT just as each of us are different, so are how we opt to go about things. Just like for how I maintain... others will not choose to maintain the same…
  • Could not possibly agree with you more.
  • Possible? Yes. I lost just over 100 lbs in 8 months and 4 days AND yes, I have kept it off. I lost this weight in 2017 and I have maintained and even loss more since. I started at 260 lbs and I changed my lifestyle completely... diet and activity. I made changes that I could maintain in my life. I didn't cut anything…
  • The answer to your question is going to vary depending on who you ask. It is honestly a personal preference. I lost 100 lbs in 8 months back in 2017. I opted to NOT eat into my exercise calories except for the rare occasion of a birthday celebration or something of the sort. Some people do not eat into them at all. Some…
  • I weigh daily unless I am away from home (ex. camping). I lost more than 100 lbs in 8 months in 2017. Been in maintenance since and I find that weighing helps keep me informed and accountable.
  • Thank you ma'am! Always a work in progress!
  • I am also a Dannon fan. I like the Oikos Zero as well as the Light & Fit Varieites. The Oikos Zero variety averages 110 calories for 15g protein and 6g sugar. The Light & Fit variety averages 80 calories for 12g protein and 7 to 9g sugar. There are quiet a few tasty options in both.

  • Of course! You're very welcome. I know seeing success stories helped me many days! I just want to try and do the same.
  • You got this Liz! I will be right there watching you drop the weight and I look forward to seeing pictures of you on your hubby's motorcycle too!! :) GOALS girl!! You can achieve them all. You Got This!
  • Thank you! Always a work in progress.
  • You can be! Just set your mind to it and don't lose hope or focus. Surround yourself with folks that will consistently support your choices.
  • Definitely! I used to dress in baggy t-shirts to hide. Not anymore. It took time for my mental state to accept I was smaller and it was okay to wear from fitting clothes. No need to hide anymore. It has taken some time but I have gained confidence in myself and wearing form fitting clothes is my norm now. I used to pretty…
  • I have maintained this way since I reached goal back in Sept of 2017. Initially I only took Saturday and Sunday off... This means no logging, weighing or getting in the gym. For more than a year now I have taken Friday from lunch time through Sunday night 'off'. I get back to my healthier lifestyle first thing Monday…
  • I would witness an increase on the scale around my period, but I had a hysterectomy in March and even though I do still witness some PMS symptoms... it is nothing like before. Y'all just don't give up!! Keep pushing.. you will break through them.

  • My approach to maintaining is different than most. I weighed 260 lbs in January of 2017. I loss over 100 lbs in 8 months and have been in maintenance since. I take my weekends off (from Friday at lunch through Sunday night) eating more freely, less healthy but without gorging myself. First thing Monday morning I am back to…
  • Change things up some if you can with your exercise and make sure you are drinking plenty of water. Are you weighing your food with a digital scale to make sure you are getting the accurate portion? Logging? If you are doing all of that... then just hold tight and keep pushing because it will shift. I stayed in a plateau…

  • Congratulations on your loss!! I also loss rather quickly and I have been in maintenance now for more than 21 months. I loss more than 100 lbs in 8 months and 4 days. I changed what and how much I ate and got active. My method of maintenance is different from most. I take my weekends off. I don't gorge myself... but I eat…
  • Thank you! I have no doubt that you can do it. If I can, anyone can.
  • Just posting an update with recent pictures. It’s been 1 year and 9 months exactly that I have maintained my loss of more than 100 lbs. Y’all can do this!!
  • I loss more than 100 lbs in 8 months and 4 days. Here is my post that I shared last year. This September will make 2 years since I have maintained my loss. You can do it!! https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10603791/more-than-100-lbs-loss-in-8-months-4-days/p1
