I can relate. I am 45 years old and I loss over 100 lbs in 2017 in 8 months time. I have maintained that loss since. I have the 'bat wings' as many reference them on here. I do think they've improved some over time. I work with a trainer at my gym and building muscle in the arms helps it not be quiet so thin and saggy...…

Just wanted to drop a line to say You Got This! 260 was actually my start weight in January of 2017. I lost over 100 lbs in just 8 months and 4 days all from changing what and how much I ate along with moving more and using MFP to log everything. You can do it! Set your mind to it and push on. I highly recommend a digital…

Way to go!! You look amazing and I know you are feeling it too!!

THIS!! Exactly! I have been in maintenance since Sept of 2017 and have managed to keep my loss of 100 lbs with taking my weekends off. From Friday at lunch through Sunday night I don't weigh, log or worry too much about my diet/fitness. First thing Monday morning I get right back to it. Yes, my weight will be up on Monday…

Thank you ma'am! I recommend setting a goal and just stay positive and focused. You can do it!

Thank you!! I have worked hard and continue to every single day. I appreciate your kind words!!

I am 45 years old. I started my healthier lifestyle on January 11, 2017 weighing 260lbs. I got up off of the couch, joined the gym and got active. I started eating healthier and the appropriate portions with weighing and logging my food here. In 8 months I dropped more than 100 lbs. I maintained for the next 15 months…

Unfortunately, you will probably continue to receive the mixed reactions too. You have to do what works for you and let the rest go in one ear and out the other. Everyone thinks they know your body so much better than you obviously do yourself. I get that their are folks who have actual eating disorders, but c'mon...…

Congratulations!! I remember how amazing it felt to get into onederland!! Especially having spent more than 23 years seriously obese. Very proud of you!! Keep pushing and you'll reach your goal in no time!!
-
Thank you for that! It has been more than 16 months since I reached goal and I have kept it off. :)

Job well done!! Your hard work has paid off and you look amazing! I know you feel so much better too!! Congratulations!!

Your weight shifts constantly and it can be something as simple as how much sodium (salt) you have ate to the amount of water you are drinking.
-
Don't give up... you did it once and you can pick back up and get at it again. Set your mind to it and then figure out two small goals to reach... then put it in motion. You have the control. You are the one who decides if you stay where you are or if you gain or lose. Take Progress pictures... surround yourself with like…

The only thing I did was change what I was eating to more healthier choices, ate appropriate portion sizes with weighing and logging my food here on MFP and got in the gym to move more. That's it. MFP actually shared my story.... you can read more here if you'd like.…

Thank you! I appreciate you taking the time to say so. I share my story for that reason... in hope that I can motivate someone else.

You can do it!! I lost 100+ in 8 months and 4 days just before turning 44. Have maintained that weight loss since... I am now 45.

Started January 11, 2017 at 260 lbs. Lost over 100 lbs in 8 months and 4 days by changing what and how much I ate and moving more. Started maintaining Sept 16th, 2017 and have managed that exceptionally well for more than 15 months with taking my weekends off from weighing/logging my food and the gym. Always right back to…

Looking good girl!!! You're doing it!!!
-
It does make a difference, but that doesn't mean you have to stop hanging around the same friends.... you just have to make the 'healthier' choice for you in those situations.

I look back at pictures of the 'old' me and they keep me moving forward. I don't ever want to go back there. I have MFP friends who I converse with daily... offering and receiving mutual support, motivation and inspiration. I read the MFP boards... some posts will irritate ya to no end because there are so many members…

I started in January of 2017 at 260 lbs and I am 5'5.5". I lost 100+ lbs in 8 months and 4 days by changing what/how much I ate and moving more. I have been maintaining since September 16th, 2017 and done great with that. That is more than 15 months in maintenance. I just have decided to drop a little more weight. Sure…

I realize everyone goes about maintaining 'their own way'. I was also on 1200 calorie and up'd it to 1500 calorie for Monday through Friday morning. Friday lunch through Sunday... I took off... meaning I didn't weigh or log my food, I rarely got in the gym on the weekend and I ate what I wanted... within reason, no gorging…

Surrounding yourself with others who can relate, motivate and inspire can impact your weight loss significantly. If you don't have the support at home... finding it here is an excellent idea. Set goals... take progress pictures. Buy a digital food scale and weigh/log your food. You guys can do this!! You can! I lost 100+…

You're welcome ~ Stay positive. Keep yourself surrounded by like minded people who will encourage and inspire you. Don't have it at home... come here.

You cared enough to start day 1 and you've made it to day 3. That is further than many get. Seriously. Use MFP as a tool and allow the support to help get you through. You have to do it, yes.... but the support goes such a long way. Believing in yourself will get you far! You can do it!!

Just wanted to post and encourage each of you. You can do it!! I lost just over 100 lbs in 2017 and have maintained the loss for more than 15 months. I changed what and how much I ate and joined a gym where I got active. Nothing more. Nothing less. Weigh and log your food... it does make a difference. I never cut out…
