They do! Same in the Midwest. Too much frosting and a cake should stand on its own merits and not be doused in frosting/icing/glaze. Loving desserts and living in the South is a dangerous combo, let me tell you.

I'm supposed to get my first dose of the Covid vaccine on Tuesday (finally). I'm a tad nervous considering I a.) don't really want to feel like someone punched me in the arm and b.) end up with side effects that mimic a flu (something a lot of folks I know have reported) and also c.) Try being very close friends with someone for a decade only to have them change, treat you like a garbage dump and eventually accuse you of being a "fair weather" friend and abandon you when you can no longer be their sounding board. I can't say I have many friends anymore. I've just accepted it at this point.

I'd definitely say if you're in an area where one exists and you've never been, make it part of a well balanced vacation, but definitely don't hinge your whole vacation on it or make it your first stop. :joy:

It's the South... some of the cities take pride in their Waffle Houses. Most of ours are surprisingly clean.. which is a shock after remembering the horrors of the one I visited in north KC. I don't even need to be under the influence to visit the ones here, which is saying something. :joy:
