Absolutely. Walking is a great way to help one loose weight. Nutrition/diet being the #1 way to lose. You can do this!

Unless you have autoimmune disease like I do. The ONLY way I lose weight or not go through the day in pain, is to avoid gluten at all costs. So no, very real to me. I must be one of the mere 5%. Interesting numbers. I’d like to see where those facts are located.

You HAVE to eat grains and meat in order to live 🤦🏻♀️

I need to break it down into smaller chunks so this will work. I have 100 to lose from my start weight. Already down 4.1 so it’s a start! So 40 by Feb is almost half way to my goal! 😊
-
I also had RAI as well as radiation (thyroid cancer). And I’m back too (took a break as my mom battled brain cancer and passed away in June 2018. I hear you about it running rampant. Liver is now affected here, so I am getting serious about taking care of myself. My mom would want that. ♥️

Yes, on meds for the rest of my life. Never giving up! I’m Hashi/hypo for the rest of my life.

I have hashimotos with hypothyroidism and only 2 parathyroids left as the other two were damaged so they removed them during surgery. Yes I take meds every day for the rest of my life. Nothing is impossible. Love that!

I have exactly 100 to lose and I restarted yesterday (my mom just passed away so I am restarting as I had to care for/focus on her). I’ll join all of you and see where it goes.
-
I will join you. I have a lot more to lose than you, but I’ll start with 40. Good luck! You got this!

I lost almost 40 lbs last spring (2017). But I let myself go as my mom got more sick (brain cancer.). She just passed a few months ago, in June 2018, and I promised her i would take care of myself, so I’m back again. That is what she would have wanted (and yes I gained it all back from the stress of her illness). One day…

I completely understand. My mom fought for 18 months with brain cancer and lived in another state. I felt guilty every time I went home to try to care for my family for a bit. My mom would have been devastated if she knew I felt guilty. I had to try to take care of myself, as that is what she would have wanted. You should…

Congrats!!! That’s awesome!

Just finished up Scandal. Couldn’t tear myself away!

I don’t eat my exercise calories back. I prefer a deficit.
-
A doctor (that I fired afterwards) told me I MUST eat meat and grains to live. Umno. I don’t NEED those things to live.

Oldie but goodie here lol

I'd love some similar friends who have 80 plus lbs to lose. I have 80 more pounds to go. Let's do this! One pound at a time!

The half is my favorite distance!!! I'll support you any way that I can

I'm a person battling hashimotos and hypothyroidism. Had my thyroid removed 10 years ago so it's been a real life struggle. But not giving up!!! Add me if you want to, would love to have more Hashi/hypo friends.
-
You can add me as well :)
-
I'm on the AIP diet. They say not to count calories on AIP but I'm doing it anyway. It's a real struggle to be hashis and hypo. But it can be done if we don't give up.

I love this suggestion!!! What a great habit to adapt to!!! I'll try this very thing today. Thank you!
