  • Scully82, I have been following your struggles here. So I have a few suggestions that are pretty much like what others are saying. Do you have a food scale to weigh your food? Not the scale you weigh yourself, but one to weigh food you are going to eat. Because you will find, serving sizes on packages are often wrong, as…
  • I am so sorry to read all the burdens you are carrying. The thought of all that tendonitis blows my mind as I too have some, but compared to you a drop in a bucket. I am a full on type 2 diabetic. And what I have found that has helped me far and away the most. Is a low carb way of eating. I do not follow a Keto diet, as I…
  • He was just dumb about the whole thing. If really wanted to boast about it, common sense would be after the fact. Like once back home. I read the story and laughed about it, and I am a crazy cat lady with 4 cats, and would never put them on a plane period. I understand people not wanting to put pets in cargo, but in that…
  • You feel weak as in giving in to something other than carrot sticks? Or you feel weak as in you might not be eating enough? I ask because it is really two different issues. For one make snacks more interesting than just carrot sticks if they are not what you want, and can in your calorie allowance. Or if it hits same time…
  • It means everything. So instead of showing you the breakdown of how many grams are fiber, how many are sugar if any. They just show grand total of Carbs. To me that is a bit annoying as not very helpful. Because really you would have to look it up to see what the net carb is unless you already know.
  • I will look into the Vionic shoes and see what they have. I know they have Dr. Comfort shoes at Dr office as well but the expense yikes. I saw the foot Dr., and to say the least it was an interesting visit. Partially from standpoint that I went to an Orthopedic Dr. in May 2019 who looked at the foot xrays, as well as a…
  • If I see on the main boards people asking about low carb and or Keto how to find out more, asking for friends. I suggest them look into the lower carb group where there is lots of information and updates. They then can decide if it works for them or not I have found for me, that low carb works best. I totally get it is…
  • Cheese sticks
  • Wow, incredible job. All your hard work sure does show.
  • Haha, you can have all my white rice, and even brown rice. For some reason white rice is one of the foods that sends my blood sugar sky rocketing. So last year I gave it up, very sadly. Every once in awhile I sneak in some white baked and or baked sweet potatoe. I have found at times really annoying which foods can sky…
  • Never been a morning person, but used to go to gym before work hated it. Now I do from home, around 10PM and really like it. Added benefit, sleep better, and has helped control overnight blood sugars.
  • I kind of track, and do have a tendency towards getting dehydrated if I do not watch it. So generally counting all liquids between 80 and 110. Because really coffee, tea, diet soda really has lots of water in it anyway so I do not differeniate between that and just plain old water.
  • There is lots of solid information over in the Low Carb group. Has some threads specific to Low carb, as well as Keto friendly. I am not sure of the point other MFP's people make when they come on threads where people are asking specific questions and immediately try to point out no this is not the way. That is not what…
  • You are looking great and happy. Amazing that at times, how Dr's keep guessing but get nowhere. But you looked inside and came up with a plan that works for you.
  • You are not alone. I understand that yes we lose weight when we burn more calories than we take in. Got it, understand it. But it gets so old when it is repeated over and over. And there is a handful or so that to me, are the ones who can be counted on to pop up and say it over and over. They come across very negative but…
  • Hi all, I am low carb but not Keto. In case you are not aware there is a fairly active Low Carb group here, with quite a few posts that pertain to Keto. Good Luck.
  • Original starting weight -May 2018 305 Starting weight came back Sept 2019 250.6 November starting weight - 238 November goal - lose 5 lbs 233 Ultimate goal - 195, and then decide the next step. Thinking 168 2nd - 237 9th- 238.2 Ack this is the wrong way. Up 1.2 pounds. Decreased exercising, and both foot and forearm…
  • Hi Billygunn, it is so annoying when MFP does this. I have found that if I Iog out, wait a minute or so log back in most of the time that will work. I use the website version on my laptop. Today I think about 3 times it kicked me out while I was trying to load a recipe. MFP at times has a mind of its own, that annoys…
  • Coffee I am not too fussy on, and only have about 3 times per week. But tea, I hate to admit it but I am a bit of a snob. Drink it both hot or cold, and straight up. Rose Tea, Assam, White Tea, GingerRoot, Darjeeling, Irish Breakfast, Early Grey, Lady Grey, Oolong. Is a partial list. And get some shipped straight from…
  • Seeing my daughter this last August. She has been working in another country was the first time in 19 months. Taking up painting, and finding it so relaxing.
  • Cats, I have always had some. Have 4 at present, always rescue, do some volunteering with Animal rescue, including horses, donkeys, and useless ponies, just saying a tad stubborn. Long ago as a kid we had horses, dogs, ducks, cats. But am totally partial to my purring buddies.
  • No, Just no. Stop and think about this, so you do this insane weight loss thing. And you lose a bunch of weight. THEN WHAT? How will you maintain for the rest of your life? Losing weight takes time, I doubt you got to your present weight in no time at all. Crash diets fail, that is what you are attempting. Yes even anyone…

  • I chuckled at title as well. Currently Carbs only come fully loaded so to speak. Need to subtract out.
  • Read all the sticky notes here on MFP, tons of good information that will help you on your way. Also input your data into MFP and it will calculate for you after you input data calories needed. Log all food you eat. If you do not have one buy a food scale and use it. That is the best way to really know how much you are…
  • Fantastic results! Your hard work, and dedictation for all the days, weeks and months really shows. Go You!
  • I also like root vegetables, some not all I often peel and cut up in soups. But literally today, I peeled turnips, boiled, drained. Then mashed them, added 1 Oz of light cream cheese, some spices and had along with my pan seared flounder tonight. They are pretty low calorie, and not bad on the carbs. I really like the…
  • Seafood, love the mild white fish. Like Chilean Sea Bass, and Fresh never frozen Halibut. And spices in very small amounts, same with exracts has to be pure in small bottles. Willing to pay more for quality foods in smaller amounts.
  • 68 gone, and working on the next 60.
  • Hi, Yes I have had some issues on the website. But what I did that seemed to work. Was logout, wait about 5 minutes log back in and all was good. For some reason if I do not go through this daily anymore the site, is not letting me delete something if I make a mistake, and I cannot find items I added the day before. But if…
