Obviously you haven't read it. I really don't understand people who make these kinds of angry rant negative posts without doing their research. The book is functional medicine which looks at the entire health of your body, holistically. Not like traditional medicine which looks at you as only a collection of individual…

The protocols have been effective for any form of thyroid over/under/hashi, plus her research has shown that most people who have hypo are in fact hashimoto's but have not been accurately diagnosed. But whatever. All I know is, it's working for me.

I am in the same situation. I urge you to RUN out and buy the book Hashimoto's Protocol. I highly recommend it for anyone with thyroid issues!!! My weight would not budge and I was getting so frustrated, to the point of tears. But I have finished her first protocol & started on the second phase and have had amazing results…

YES! I recently added MCT oil to my diet and the cravings have gone down substantially. I use brain octane oil by bulletproof (amazon) Started with 1 tsp and now am up to around 2 tablespoons daily. I find that I get puffy in my hands and face the day after I've had too much sodium, and usually either gain a bit or stay the same weight wise. A lot of processed (boxed, canned, bottled)…

Have you tried journaling at all? I know it sounds trite but usually when we eat from emotions we reach for something specific. If you can tie the type of emotion to the food, you can start seeing patterns. loneliness = chocolate chip cookies, doughnuts frustration/anger = chips, dip & salami happy reward = ice cream,…

I agree 100% I think they (MFP & MapMyFitness) are waaaaay too generous with the fitness calories. I almost always just ignore them & only eat about 25% of them back at most... and I still gained. So... there's that. LOL Yet I am bigger than you at 5'9 (and much heavier) so I think they do give you more when you are bigger.
