Have you considered talking with him about this? Telling him how you feel? Another thing. How would you like it if you were just minding your own business and going about your life only for someone close to you start nagging on everything you're eating because *they* are trying to lose weight? Do you really think it's fair…

What are you eating? What are your macro (protein, carbs, fat) percentages for each meal? Is it high carb, low fat or low carb, high fat? How much protein are you eating in each meal? Are you getting enough micronutrients (fruits and vegetables) in each meal?

I woke up this morning and I was neither starving nor stuffed. Before, if I binged the night before, I would wake up feeling lethargic. If I starved dieted the night before, I would wake up ravenously hungry. But this morning, I felt light and energetic and I was able to prepare a healthy breakfast and ... yeah it was…

Resistance and strength training? Do you think track workouts (I'm on a track & field team, hoping to be a high jumper and sprinter) would suffice? And that seems like a good rule of thumb -- the trying them on after every 5 pounds loss ... a sort of reward, I suppose.

Darn. I really wish weight loss wasn't such an individual thing. I wish once one person lost weight, it was globally uniform. Oh well. I shall try them again in about 2 weeks. If I get impatient, I'll try them in a week.

Dead. I can't eat right after working out. I always have to wait a little bit to feel hungry, but when I do feel hungry it is time. To. Eat. And if I ignore this hunger . . . well I can always start over tomorrow.

Last night I had a piece of cake ... a large piece of cake. With much more ice cream than I needed. I've always assumed these late-night mini-splurges would show up on the scale the next morning, but I've never weighed-in the morning after a "bad day" (actually, that cake was the only "bad thing" I ate yesterday so it was…

A word of friendly advice: this is not true for everyone. For me, carbs are the most fulfilling -- a high carb meal makes me feel satiated for hours on end with no "energy crash" at the end. A high protein, low carb meal makes me feel satiated for about an hour ... then I'm hungry again. A high fat, low carb meal gives me…

Energy. I actually have energy in the morning. Like, I didn't even know I didn't have any energy in the morning until I started having energy in the morning. The thing is, I was a chronic breakfast skipper. Recently, I've started eating breakfast and now I have actual energy in the morning!

Bruh. Thanks everyone. I flippin' love you guys. Internet hugs and best-day-to-you wishes!

Oh hey! Annacole94's reminded me about yet another question I have: how do you know when to stop? I know I'm supposed to eat when I'm hungry and stop when I'm full. That is great. I know when I'm hungry -- hunger is relatively easy to identify. But what about how to know when I'm full? I've tried the frequent check-ins,…

A few questions: what do you mean you mold your food environment into one of slight scarcity? And are you suggesting to go Paleo? Also, if I only eat "simple single real food ingredients" and never eat other yummy foods such as biscuits and chocolates and sweets, then is that really eating intuitively? Because the whole…

Why don't you think you can intuitively eat?

Well, I might as well join -- it is Val's day after all Age: 18 Height: 5'10" Current Weight: 160.2 Goal weight: 130 Goal weight for challenge: 148.0 pounds 2/21 = 2/28 = 3/7 = 3/14 = 3/21 = 3/28 = 4/4 = 4/11 = 4/18 = 4/25 = 5/2 = 5/9 =

Nice! I'm going to try and make some of this; it sounds delicious. If you don't mind me asking, how many calories are in a cup?

1700 -- 2000? It might be because I am so used to limiting my calories (when I think of weight loss calorie ranges, I typically come up with 1200 -- 1300), but those numbers seem rather . . . high. If you don't mind me asking? Are you able to successfully lose weight while eating just below 2,000 calories a day? Because if…

2/1 Pass Not the best start, but I hope to do better today. 2 more pass days left.

These are all excellent ideas, guys. To answer a few questions, yes I do often eat when I'm bored or whenever I feel like it. I don't eat when I'm hungry because I'm almost never hungry (it's hard to be hungry when you're constantly eating). I think it's the abrupt transition to sticking to only eating meals and limiting…

You made a really good point, but I got distracted because of the little bat *kitten* crazy part

I'm glad I'm not the only one

I thought the recommendation was to weigh oneself weekly? Doesn't your weight fluctuate wildly when you weigh yourself daily?

Hello! This is my first time trying this sort of challenge. My biggest problem when it comes to losing weight is simply giving up and quitting. My goal is to weigh 155 pounds at the end of February. And to pass every day, of course.
