Oh. Yeah I guess I could do that.

Thank you for your suggestion. If the internet is ever down then I'll go ahead and give it a go. In fact, it would be easier than logging into MFP every time. But I figured it out. I just set the serving size as 0 for everything.

Pretty much, yeah!

True, but what if instead of gorging on a crapton of junk food, we gorged on a crapton of real food?

:D :D :D Yeah ... my definition of fun is performing a variety of bizarre experiments just to see what would happen, lol.

Oh. But ... the thread kept going ....

Hmmm I think I'll use it as a drying rack. Or re-bury it for future generations to discover. Ha. Kidding

what does /thread mean?

I was so excited to eat my healthy lunch that I didn't want a bunch of chocolate bars #recoveringchocaholic

No, but if you want cacao powder, I would recommend going to a store and physically picking a container up if you can. Or order from an established grocery store. Because cacao powder shouldn't be green. Just sayin'

Hey! I'm 5'10 with a similar goal! Feel free to add me :D

I see what you mean. Going ON a diet implies that the diet itself is not an integral part of your being. But saying something is MY diet implies that the diet is a part of who you are. Why is this sounding so wishy washy and mushy!? I promise it's not.

Bruh you've got to chill with the humour -- I'm sitting here in class laughing my butt off (well now I'm typing this as if I am writing something very serious that requires 120% of my focus) so that was awkward lol. But thanks for your insight. It was packed with information that will surely help me on my journey as I lose…

Satiety. For me, anyways. I find that if I gorge myself on all carbs, I'm hungry. At the same time, if I gorge myself on all protein, I'm hungry. I have to find the balance between carbs, protein, and fat. Plus, eating all fat is not very healthy. Neither is eating all carbs. Or all protein. I don't track my macros, per…

Reading through a few of these reasons, my reasons seem less serious/motivating. But the thing is, I'm not old (sorry guys). I don't have a family (as in I am not a mother). I don't have kids to live for (I guess my siblings could count, but they aren't MINE per se). I don't have a spouse (I'm still in high school). But I…

Ooh I see now. So a diet is a quick fix while a lifestyle change is the things people do with the intent of never quitting
-
Um. Thanks? But I don't know if "do as much cardio as possible" is the best advice. What about strength training? That's important too.

Alrighty. Let me sit you down and learn you a bit about them calories. So. Here's whatcha gonna do. You're going to go online and find out what your BMR is. Got that? Cool. Now sit back down cuz I'm not done yet. Alright. You're then gonna get back on yo laptop and find out your TDEE. With all that exercise, you're bound…

Recreational weight loss, haha that sounds kind of funny

Whaaa?????? Well talk about a paradigm shift. I thought ketosis was when your body is feeding off of ketones and you're LITERALLY DYING ON THE INSIDE :# :# :# But I must have been mistaken. Thank you for being so knowledgeable. :)

What I've found is that when my meals met three requirements, I didn't feel the need to snack. I eat two meals a day (lunch and dinner), and I am never hungry. In the morning, I have a nice warm cup of green tea with unsweetened cocoa powder. I drink water up until lunch time, where I have a nicely sized meal that meet the…

There is. It's called time. Give yourself 3 days. 3 days of healthy eating (whatever that may look like for you, whether it's omnivorous, vegan, vegetarian, etc.). Drink plenty of water. By the end of the third day you'll feel better. Then, you can go back to your healthy lifestyle (notice I didn't say diet). Just treat…

You know, that makes sense. Thanks guys for helping me out (again) :p

I just resisted a snickers bar. Now that doesn't sound like much, but I swear I am addicted to Snickers bars (I think it's the nougat). But today, I just told myself that I'd have one after class. I pretended like eating one after class made much more sense than eating one before, and by the time class was over, I forgot…

Looking for opportunities to run around the house in just a bra and shorts so small they really should just be underwear become alarmingly common. Oh and oversize sweaters magically become oversize ... and you may or may not be wearing shorts underneath them (but always wear underwear. Please).

Bruh. Y'all aren't gonna believe me when I tell you ... I have successfully HALTED a binge. In. Its. Tracks. You see, I've been preparing for this day. I KNEW that once I lost my first 5 pounds, I would want to binge. I also KNEW that if I did binge, it would take WEEKS to get back on track. So I had a big breakfast and…

I didn't eat junk food for lunch today! Yippee! I almost always have to eat a small piece of chocolate or sweets or biscuits or something like that to "keep my sanity" So today I decided to try eating only healthy foods for lunch, and I did it!
