Same thing happened to me! I wasn't that far into my journey and we went to a family dinner. I put on a dress that I was too fat to wear before and I was feeling really good about myself. I was eating healthier, I had lost inches, I was believing in myself. I was eager to be in the family picture and I was horrified at how…

Outstanding!! I thought there was no hope for me as I'm 49. . . Your journey has inspired me. Excellent work and thank you for sharing!! I'm on board with fasting too. It simplifies everything. I never thought I could make it through not having a breakfast but I'm doing it! I'm doing 18:6 per day and even did a 20:4 I'm…

I just joined the group. I'm 6 days in to 18:6. I'm considering trying a 24-48 hour fast. Down 2.4 pounds in 5 days. 34# to go. I watched Dr Fungs YouTube video that someone posted and it was very groundbreaking for me. All this time I thought I was the failure but it wasn't me, it was my technique! Does anyone count the…

Thank you. I haven't been on the scale in 2 weeks. I just can't handle seeing a number that won't move down- to me it's such a huge failure. I used to be able to just dump sugar and easily lose 7 pounds in 2 weeks- I never realized how much harder it is as you get older.

You're back in the game!! The first step is so hard- good for you!! I feel like this battle of weight loss is 90% mental.

I tried seven times to quit! 7!! The only way for me was cold turkey. I had only been smoking for two years. I cried, because I missed smoking, I had the sweats at night, felt lethargic, & even had nightmares that I had started again. Those instances passed after a couple of weeks. I went on my honeymoon, brought no…

I can comfortably wear pants that I couldn't even get on five weeks ago!

May I suggest intervals? Walk a few minutes, then jog or go all out for 1. Adjust accordingly. The Galloway method is an effective way to ease into it. Far less wear and tear on the body. I did my first half marathon, 13.1 miles in 2014 at 45 years old. Good Luck! I hate running too but I love how I feel!

Start SLOW!! Find something you enjoy. Love your body, love yourself. Stay patient & positive.

I needed to read this- in fact I searched "no weight loss first week" I've been eating smart, tracking calories etc. it's hard not to be discouraged. I work out 5 times a week for 1 1/2-2 hours a morning , I have always been good about that. I've had no weight loss at all my first week. I'm going to take a look at my…

Incredible progress! It took me (in the past, nearly 9 months to lose just 33 1/2 pounds.) I was in a plateau for 9 weeks. . . Before I hit goal. Your story gives me hope because I always hear that "once you get older, you can't get rid of it." Congratulations on your no nonsense driven progress!
