I just wanted to clarify. If you're at a deficit, i.e. have remaining calories, the prediction number you get already incorporates the weight loss predicted by MFP. When I signed up, I was told I'd lose at approx. 0.7 lb/week. If I had 100 calories remaining today, the prediction would be 0.7 lb/week*5 weeks+ (35 days*100…

5 weeks, 7 days a week, 35 days. If you end the day with a deficit of 100 calories, that's 3500 calories, a full pound! I think that's all the number is doing, taking a look at your deficit for that day and extrapolating. That 5 week number will go up and down depending on each individual day. So if you did exactly the…

@Taffy_Le @HaleCry sorry for the multiple posts, but I'd love to be part of this. I don't know what went wrong with the first add. I just don't see the invite. Can either of you add me again?

@cwolfman13 thank you for that lovely and well thought out response. I used 'set point' very liberally and without too much thought, which I probably shouldn't have. I found the article fascinating, but was probably drawing parallels that doesn't concern the op

I'm not here to get into a debate about whether CICO is the holy grail of weight loss or not. Everyone is entitled to their opinions. I personally believe in CICO 80% of the time, the other 20% could be in the minority and is dissenting. Anyways, I did want to validate the op's experience. I got something positive from her…

@cwolfman13 you're entitled to what you believe. I read the article yesterday, and found it eye opening. Just sharing the link in case any others out there were curious. NYTimes is a reputable source.

The below is an article about the biggest loser dieters who've almost all regained weight lost. Guess what?Your body has a set point it deems normal. https://www.nytimes.com/2016/05/02/health/biggest-loser-weight-loss.html So despite the mantra everything is CICO, sometimes it's not. Thank you op, your post was extremely…

In for day 2. My appreciation of this workout has gone way up! It's a total gem for someone like me.

I just got done with my first workout. I'm using the YouTube version. I'm actually surprised. I'm extremely out of shape, but I found the workout relatively easy. Most likely I'll be sore tomorrow. But I expected to die in the middle of my workouts, and this was not that. YouTube did intermittenly pause due to connection…
