  • I know after I delivered my daughter, my pooch shrunk back to normal in about 3 months, and by 6 months looked even better than before, but I didn't have a newborn to take care of so when I had my son I was shocked that it didn't magically disappear. He also didn't sleep longer than 2-3 hour stretches until we did CIO at…
  • A lot of cool gadgets in this thread! I am a cheap SOB and so I took the plunge on a $15 knockoff from China called the i5 Plus :) it took 3+ weeks to land Stateside, but I love it! It is water resistant (went to a pool party with my 18m old son and never had to take it off, despite multiple splashes), tracks my sleep…
  • I second the advice to SLOOOOW down. I can't maintain the same pace outside that I can on a treadmill. I am not fast either way, but I could do a 10/11 min mile on the treadmill and outside I felt like I was running full-pelt and ended up with a 13-14 min/mile. Took me a while to get back to 10 again (then winter hit lol).…
  • I chowed down on too much Valentine's candy this week, and McDonald's yesterday for lunch (I did get a salad & snack wrap, then went and ate half of hubby's nuggets, fries & cheeseburger lol). I got back on the scale this morning even though I was ashamed of myself, and it's not that bad. Up 1.2lbs, so today I'm chugging…
  • I have a toddler at home so I do laps around my house... a million of them lol. I hit my 10k steps at about 6pm most days, if not then I have a stepper that I can use for 30 mins which gets my heart rate up too. Calorie wise, MFP gives me 1700 calories if I reach 10k steps, which I think is ridiculous, so I try not to eat…
  • I just got a Fit Bit knockoff, and it adds my 10,000 steps (no exercise, just daily movement) to MFP and MFP gives me 1,700 extra calories to eat! I know better than to eat them - eating 2400 cals a day is what made me 220lbs in the first place lol. I have upped my activity level settings to lightly active, and hoping it…
  • I am aiming for maintenance during the really bad days. This week I ate truffles, pizza, McDonald's and baked a devil's food cake. I drank a tonne of water and tried to eat those things "reasonably" and didn't lose weight but also didn't gain, so I count it as a win lol.
  • I stay home with my 18m old son! Add me!
  • SW: 220 CW:215 Feb goal: 210 Ultimate goal: 160 Total loss for Feb: Hi all! I have my goals set for 1.5lbs a week, so I might even lose 6lbs this month, fingers crossed!
  • I watch an 80's movie and eat a billion cups of air-popped popcorn - with spray oil and copious amounts of salty seasonings on, it's low enough calories and still 'feels' like you're shovelling junkfood in lol. I try to eat at maintenance for a day or two as well but not 100% sure where that is yet.
  • See a Doc. I've had constipation after I had my son and it's no joke - I had to go to the ER for abdominal pain (like 9/10 on the scale of pain) and vomiting. After a battery of tests I was glad it was 'only' constipation, but I had no idea it could get that bad. They gave me magnesium citrate and told me to stay by the…
