Admittedly, I've never made a regular German chocolate cake nor eaten one. So I had to google it. In my searching, I came across this TrimHealthyMomma blogger who had already perfected this! You could easily just adjust the bake time and use a cupcake pan. http://mrscriddleskitchen.com/german-chocolate-cake/

Celery is a good choice. I've also drizzled it on some low carb ice cream. But my fav way to eat it is right out of the spoon!!!

Aaaaaand now I must go watch TPB!

Awe! How sweet of you to say! Something tells me that there isn't a big enough draw for that here in Dallas!

I'll work on making the recipes tomorrow! German chocolate may be a challenge!

I have NAFLD (aka my liver is super fatty) and I have a small hernia under my rib cage due to DR (separated abs). The hope is, ten more pounds will clear my liver and help my hernia so I can avoid surgery.

Or stone for that matter. With stoneware, you have to use a slow heating method! Often putting your stone pie plate in the cold oven, then taking it out and put your food in/on it (like baking pizza for example). Pie is a bit harder unless the entire pie crust is frozen and easily transferred without burning yourself.

Did you freeze it in a glass pie dish? If so, you need to let it come to room temp first! Unless you like the sound of exploding glass in your oven! ;p If it is in metal or transferable to a non-frozen glass dish, I'd just fill and bake! Make sure your oven is preheated and ready to go! NEVER EVER PUT FROZEN GLASS/CERAMIC…

I had someone PM me because they didn't know what DR was. So here is a visual for those who don't know.

35 female, 5'4" SW: 138 Former Goal: 120 New goal weight: 115 Current Weight: 121, I'm up two pounds because I fell off the wagon slightly for a few weeks. I was still low carb, just not as careful with my carb counts and I had a few week moments! Had my doc follow up and he said "good job but you need to lose another 10…

I make beef stew! And cheese rolls! I modify fathead dough to make 12 rolls. I use a stick of butter instead of any cream cheese, I add some non-fed yeast in 2 tbls warm water. I also add two tbls xanthum gum to increase the texture/hold. So they don't collapse. Lastly, I salt and flavor (garlic, onion, oregano, etc) the…

I can make your cupcake dream real! Want a recipe?

Oh you poor thing! My mom had that too! She actually had her intestines herniated through her vaginal wall too! But those events were decades apart. She's had lots of surgery. When I look at her belly, I can see that she has DR too, but she likely doesn't know it.

Thanks for the info! I'll speak with my doctor about it when I visit with him!

I have NAFLD, so I'm doing this medically. Maybe I should look into the effect of these on NAFLD?

Yeah... been there.... I actually had someone call me "borderline anorexic"... directly after I just ate (in front of them) three eggs and 6 slices of bacon with some avocado and small serving of assorted berries..... My response was, "do you even know the definition or basic description of that disease?" Seriously, people…

Your guardian angle said, "DONT EAT THAT *kitten*!" And intervened, twice! She needs a raise!

I also found that when my cravings hit hard, I was super dehydrated. Up your water and make sure you are getting your salt/electrolytes.

Awe! Thanks! I really should start a blog, but I just don't know how!

First off, I love loaded cauliflower! It is so delicious! I make a loaded "potato style" cauliflower salad for summer BBQs and it hits all my tater-salad cravings! In the winter, I make a hot version and serve with roasted pork. For my hot dogs, I use it raw and at room temp. I find that heating/cooking them just makes…

Sorry! I just realized my mistake! I make my crust with almond flour (or meal, it's your choice) but then I add coconut flour too! I also add coconut flour when using almond flour in sweets. My rule is "half the amount of almond".. so if you use half cup of almond flour, add 1/4 cup of coconut flour. I also add flavor to…

Dinner tonight was "chili cheese dogs" in zucchini boats!

Yeah, I followed the recipe to a T. I think the issue may be that she uses a bleached/blanched pecan meal and I made my own (as suggested in the book if you didn't have the pecan meal handy). I'll try it one more time before putting this recipe to rest.
