I'm in Olympia also. Not much activity in this group.

Weighed in at 216.8 this morning. :/ Not sure if I gained from last week or it was a drop in water weight at last week's weigh-in. Still, as of this morning I've lost 8 pounds in 3 weeks. I'll take it. I was 225 3 weeks ago when I joined MFP.

Good morning cubs. My weight today is 217.9. I gained 1.3 pounds from last week but that's not bad considering what I ate and drank all week with my buddy visiting!
-
Not as bad as I thought. I just weighed in at 217.9

Thank you all for the comments. Today is "weigh day" and I'm probably not going to like what it has to say after the cheat week I had. I still did my cardio every morning but I had an old army buddy here visiting me for a week and we ate bad food and drank a little beer. I'll work hard this week and get back under 217 if…

I ride but I'm also a fair-weather rider. I just can't get the motivation to ride in the winter Pacific Northwest weather.

I'm down to 216. I'm not putting much into the first week's numbers. The scale says I lost 8 pounds but I'm not buying it. I know I couldn't have lost 8 pounds of fat in a week. I can't wait to see the numbers at the end of weeks 2 and 3. If I can lose a good 2 pounds a week then I'll be happy!

Awesome! I started off at 225 when I started this site and set a goal of 2# per week loss. I'd like to get down to 195 and then slowly start building muscle weight and get up to 200#. Before injuries, excuses, laziness, and poor eating habits I weighed in at 205 w/ 7% body fat. I'm now close to 49 years old and I don't…

It's going to be hard to break old habits at first! My motivation has been the calorie counter. I'm actually back to the "I can't eat that" mentality after less than a week of joining this site. Stay strong!!! We're all here for support!

Hi and welcome to the group!
-
My goal is 2# per week. This first week has been crazy but I'm sure it's just some water weight. We'll see how it looks a week from now.
-
Hi Cindi. Thanks for posting! We'll all meet our goals with hard work, dedication, and support.

Nice to see our little group growing! I sent friend requests to just about everyone in this thread. One can never have to many friends or too much support from like minded people!

As soon as my wife gets out of the bathroom where the scale is I'll post up my weight. lol

Awesome!

I grew up in Providence, RI. I then lived in Washington State for 10 years, 3 years in Germany, 14 years in Tennessee and now am back in Washington (Olympia).

Welcome Danni!!!

Looking forward to Monday too!!!

I'm a 48 year old Army vet with some significant back, neck, knee and shoulder injuries. I've made excuses for the last 4 years as to why I can't get back into shape. The injuries prevent certain activities but that's no excuse to let myself go. I'll never be my old 205# w/ 7% bf but I WILL get back under 200# and get this…

Welcome to the group! Any of are welcome to add me as a friend. I'm new to the group as well.

This diet/lifestyle change is a recent change for me. I went from super fit to out of shape and feeling like crap in about 4 years. I'm only a week into getting back to the old me. I was constantly hungry for the first 3 or 4 days but my body is quickly adapting. Not nearly as bad now.

Same here! I like bike riding...both road and MTB but hate doing it in crappy weather. Hoping on my road bike and hammering out 35-50 miles is a killer workout.

49 yo guy looking to get back to my "pre-retirement" self. I retired 4 years ago from a very active, physically demanding, high stress military job. I will be the first to admit that I have gotten lazy during these last 4 years, gained 25 pounds and was feeling like crap. Uncomfortable without a shirt on, etc. My multiple…

Sounds awesome! Hoping you guys have a great night!

I'd say most definitely. But, like others stated, if there's an attraction on one side of the relationship it can definitely mess things up. I've had two female friends for over 30 years. I have never once in all those years thought of anything more than a lifelong friendship. I love them both like I would a sister. I do…

Welcome and "hello" to you as well.

I just joined the site. My goal was to lose a minimum of 25 pounds. I was able to lose 6 the first week! Happy to know that I'm on the right path!
-
Thank you both. I have no idea. Just fortunate I guess!

Funny.....I grew up in Providence, RI and then got sent to Fort Lewis after AIT from 87-90.
