My device wouldn't let me expand for some technology reason I cannot explain. It was an easy 6 but unusual for me as it was an afternoon run not a morning run.

Ok I get it. Less forced and possibly phony interaction because it isn't needed. I think I can relate. I think because I'm an introvert the ritual helps me overcome my insecurities. 8 miles 4X1 mile intervals at speed with minute recovery. Tough workout I'm not sure I was as fast as I should have been. On a very positive…

L.p. Funny for me because I would classify as mostly introvert.(teaching is a very extrovert thing) but as much as I like pastor Vincent I could not attend a church where people didn't shake hands and greet each other. (No judgement here. It just wouldn't work as spiritual for me.)

I began listening to audio books and I find they are very good for long or easy runs but speed work and intervals don't mesh well for me. 8 easy miles listening to a book on mindfulness for me today.

8 miles tempo finish for last 4 miles.

10 miles easy

3 miles easy. Possible turning point for me here. I have been pushing mileage hard and hyper focused on such but although I might have tried for a longer run today, I'm accepting of running less and getting my rest. I think the strength training is making sleep and rest more important. What should be interesting to measure…

6.5 mile 89 degrees real feel 99. 18 X 200m intervals at speed with 200m recovery. I must be at least a pound lighter from when I started.

No run this am. I'm going to sweat it out this afternoon in the heat. I did manage to keep my strength training streak goin with a workout last night. I'm considering which to do first this afternoon strength then run or the other way around.

easy 5 this am. Not doing well with mileage this week but strength training is on a 3 day streak. My 4 and 8 year old are joining me for some after dinner PT. (It can be difficult not to stop and laugh.)

4 at tempo. The Red Sox had me up until midnight. At least they won. (Sorry Bronx Bombers, you had 78. This year things are different "I hope")
-
Rest day. I managed to get in at least some strength training (day isn't over yet, I can get in my abs and lunges.) Big step is getting it in Monday.

10.5 wet steamy miles last three at tempo pace last mile under 730. My wife says I have a problem. I don't think she's talking about the 5 more miles I could have run today and opted out.

No I pay attention to them. Especially if I am feeling hungry. I shoot for lower carbs and higher protein.

Or just set realistic expectations. Sometimes you need to remember that the director is using the source his own way and to appreciate what they have done. Stanley Kubrics interpretation of "The Shining" isn't a very good representation of the book but its cinnematic artistry at a very high level.

Happy birthday @AprilRN10 A mile easy run followed by strength training. First time this summer, I got in my abs, arms, squats and lunges. I'm not proud that it took me this long to get the workout in but I'm hopeful I can turn this into part of my normal routine.

actually following rest day as part of my running plan. I usually just do an easy run but today I decided to rest.
