Hurrah! The more badass warrior women in this world the better! Reminds me of one of my favourite memes:

Lifting heavy things makes me feel like a badass warrior woman who can handle anything. I also like doing (imaginary) violence to things as a way of stress relief - a session on the bags in the gym if I'm feeling active, extensive video gaming if I'm feeling lazy. Definitely works for stress release.

I really hate this trend of adding -orexia to the end of things to try to make them seem more dramatic. Fatorexia as a term is nearly as obnoxious as tanorexia. So much ugh.

I don't eat breakfast, prefer to have coffee and then make my first meal of the day lunch (I verge on OMAD out of preference but do tend to graze between lunch and bed) If I feel I need breakfast I usually grab one of the protein bars I keep stashed in my desk. Currently obsessed with nut based ones, so tasty.

I have a question! If people have a question wouldn't they be better off starting their own thread so they can have a variety of different inputs from the various posters with a wealth of experience rather from one specific dude? Also! What questions do you envisage people being too afraid or embarrassed to ask on an…

Can you pack yourself meals to take in? That seems like the best option. Otherwise, if you have no choice but to eat the food they provide you will have to work out which the lowest calorie options are or see if they will modify any dishes for you to make them lower calorie (eg sauce on the side, grilled Vs fried, salad…

Don't eat the food at your work?
-
So much no.

What I often do it search for the food and put g at the end eg "chicken schwarma g" which often brings up a different set of entries, which have gram masses for them. (Note, haven't actually tried it with schwarma though!)

For me it's the tracking that stops me feeling guilty and obsessive - before using MFP if I was trying to lose weight I would do it by going on a strict "healthy food, crazy amounts of cardio, all or nothing" diet - that seriously triggered my ED and I would spiral into despair if I was anything less than perfect. Now, I…

Excercise calories are the best tasting calories, especially when used for cake and gin (what mine are currently being "spent" on). I wouldn't go without them.

I'm 30lbs down and have gone down a size in tops, bottoms I'm just about down a size - I've gone from my current size being slightly too tight to almost too loose. Although I admit it may have been a bit of denial before and I probably should have worn the larger size.... Can't wait to be officially in the smaller size.…

Although exercise is brilliant for your health you don't actually need to do any to lose weight. A calorie deficit is all you need. Of course if you are a short *kitten* like me then exercise is seriously helpful in giving you more calories to play with but a little planning and some smart food choices can easily remove…

Motivation is largely useless as it's fleeting. Habit is what keeps you going once motivation fades. Habit, discipline, honesty (profit!)

People are very keen to fill in the blanks with all sorts of exercise related things when they comment on my weight loss (which is very visible now) I think because as a scientist I'm probably not the type to try out ridiculous fads. I've heard "I bet you've taken up running", "do you have a personal trainer?", "Are you…

Yes! I particularly enjoyed being treated like an adult who can make her own food choices (and occasionally eat a slice of cake without having to eat nothing but rabbit food for the rest of the day to make it fit). Freedom = a good thing. I like knowing exactly what I'm eating in terms of calories and macros, my food…

I have discovered a new found love of gym clothes, especially crop tops. Bliss! I live in them whenever I'm at home. I do get semi dressed up for work although I've just had to donate my entire work wardrobe (except for three things I bought recently) as it's all too big. Just struggling through the next two weeks with…

Go on to the "general diet and weight loss help" forum and read all the stickied posts there - especially the ones on accurate logging and weight loss not being linear. Knowledge is power in this situation. The mechanics of how to do it are all there. For the mental side: Weight loss is a long, slow process - you may find…

Why does it have to be one or the other? On these threads people often say that X number of calories of "junk" won't fill you up as well/be as satisfying as the same calories of "healthy" food. I actually find the opposite, if I eat "junk" (and who on earth knows what that really means, really) it often keeps me satisfied…

I log workouts and daily steps through my Fitbit and I eat back every single one. They are the tastiest calories. I don't eat them on the day I "earn" them necessarily but I do before the week is out. That way running around like a mad thing at work means I get extra dessert on the weekend.
-
Just eat when you're hungry.
-
There's a guy at my gym who works out in what looks like thermal leggings and a plastic mac. He's clearly an idiot.
-
Are you being too restrictive in the type of food you're trying to eat? A lot of people find when they try to adhere to some perfect way of eating they quickly fail as its simply too unrealistic. You also talk about doing your exercises every day - this isn't necessary for weight loss (a good idea for health but certainly…

Wine is what exercise calories were made for IMO. Mmmmm. Wine.

To be honest OP I don't think MFP is for you being as it's a program centred around accurately logging your calories, which you don't want to do. Without measurements/accurate calorie counts there's no way of anyone being able to provide you with accurate answers. The best you can hope for is generic advice or guesses.…

I am baffled as to someone may actually seek out the advice of non-doctors over the internet instead of qualified medical professional who knows your entire medical history. Why not just stick with your doctor's suggestions?

My Fitbit is definitely worth it for me. I have wildly varying activity levels (anywhere from 20K to under 1000 steps on some days. No really.) so it helps me keep on track as far as making sure I'm not over/under eating. If my lifestyle was more consistent I don't think I'd "need" one, but they're still nice to have.
-
Is this one of those posts where 3 pages in the OP reveals they're actually under medical supervision? If not: eat more.
-
This actually is the case for me. In my case the food scale helps me reduce potentially triggering my ED - reducing food to numbers is immensely helpful. What I wouldn't recommend is advising someone with a history of disordered eating to be untruthful with their family (who are likely their primary support system) about…

Count me in the "breakfast naysayers crew" I have black coffee only until lunch most days. Eating too early will often make me sick and eating early is a recipe for nibbling and snacking all day. I tend to eat at around 11am on workout days as it's the only way I can get in enough calories but otherwise I tend to avoid it.…
