Hey everyone! I have a question: I work in a cafeteria where the food can get unhealthy sometimes. What do you suggest I do to keep my calorie limit?

Don't eat the food at your work?

Recently though I've been going in really early and then staying really late, so I have no choice but to eat there.

Can you pack yourself meals to take in? That seems like the best option.

Otherwise, if you have no choice but to eat the food they provide you will have to work out which the lowest calorie options are or see if they will modify any dishes for you to make them lower calorie (eg sauce on the side, grilled Vs fried, salad instead of chips etc)

^ This. I bring a lunch to work that I prepack the night before.

What do you mean by the food can get unhealthy sometimes? Are there no healthy options in a place that serves food? What is your understanding of a healthy diet? Is your calorie limit reasonable? Figure out this, and you have the answer to your question.

Yeah, what are your options? Do they do the eggs in oil or just a slightly oiled griddle/hotplate? Bacon on there too? I assume there's beans? All those things are easy to work into your day and offer lots of good stuff. Baked potatoes? Again you could have it with beans.

I'm making an assumption it's a greasy spoon type place of course. But if it's not let us know and we can put you at ease with the options or you may decide taking your own food is better.
