There are lower sugar protein bars and powders out there. If you have a Costco nearby, they offer both a Kirkland brand low sugar protein bar (reminiscent of Quest) and several options for low sugar protein powder (Muscle Milk and Optimum Nutrition). Also, check your grocery store bulk section, a lot of time they have…

My experience with Keto is that you feel like you are eating a ton of meat and cheese, but you aren't eating all of those carb calories, so it balances out to still being in a deficit. I still count calories in order to maintain a deficit. It typically only works for people who find fats to be satiating, otherwise you end…

I get up between 3:30 and 4 am and I am at the gym between 4 and 4:15. I know myself, if I don't go in the morning, I don't go at all. It used to be because I frequently had a migraine by the end of my work day, but now it is because I know how busy the gym will be and how ineffective my workout will be with that many…

First of all, congratulations on being over halfway there! That is a big deal. Now, I don't have personal experience on this exact issue, but I see a lot of chit chat about this kind of problem on the boards. Usually people recommend increasing calorie intake and remembering that the closer you get to your goal weight the…

Nothing to eat for me before working out, but I go pretty early, just after waking. Also, I only work out for 60 or 75 minutes.

I used to make egg-based (1 egg to 1 cup of flour, plus a little water or oil) and water-based (add water to flour well until you get the right consistency) wheat flour noodles on the regular until I realized that grains and legumes were making my digestive system miserable. Now I am trying to make noodles from alternative…
