  • Tonight I made turkey burgers on a bed of veggies with a Thai peanut sauce! For the turkey burgers, I used ground turkey and combined it with sauteed peppers and onions. Then for the bed of veggies I used broccoli slaw, bean sprouts, peppers, green beans, and onions. Tons of fiber, lots of protein, and for a 5oz portion of…
  • Feel free to add me!! I try to run between 12-18 miles per week and get in a few races a month to keep myself motivated!

  • I always feel guilty about my water consumption because I just don't even thinking about it until I am thirsty. Before I started spending a good amount of effort to drink more water I would only have 1 to 2 cups a day! Now I am drinking 6 to 7 cups, which I still feel is a little low! I try to buy really fun patterned cups…
  • San Francisco marathon, next summer! My fiancee and I are getting married July 2018 and that will be one of our honeymoon adventures! Does anyone have any training tips or personal experience stories from that run? We just started a running Instagram page to keep us inspired, accountable and a learning tool for other…
  • Costco sells Light Chocolate Muscle milk that are delicious and a great way to add in protein! It's 100 calories, 1 g of sugar, 0 g of fat, and 20 g of protein. It's easy, fast and a great way to fill you up before a big workout or to keep yourself from snacking.
  • The diet I have currently been on for 6 months cuts calories, fat, as well as carbs. Protein is high and all carbs come from plant products (so no whole wheat, pasta, artificial sugars or gluten). I aim to have 110g of proteins per day, stay under 75g of carbs per day, as well as staying under 40g of fats per day. I did a…
  • I'm In! Push-ups are so hard but so rewarding once you get good at them! And they are the good kind of sore
  • I sign up for running races all summer so I stay motivated to train for them! This weekend is a 10k so my training consists of 2, 4 mile runs and 2-3, 2.5 mile runs throughout the week! • I totally get what you mean about the energy. Before I could barely make it through the day without a nap or constantly feeling groggy. Now I have so much energy and I sleep so much more sound at night! It does make a major difference and it's easy to see those changes when it affect your daily activities!
  • I love being able to try on the clothes of what I used to wear and feel how baggy they are now. That is a huge motivator and NSV for sure!
  • I agree that vanity plays a major role! I live far away from my family and knowing that I get to see them after a while and them recognize my changes is huge for my motivation and reinforcement of what I am doing to stay healthy!
  • Some common ones are drink lots of water (you can burn an extra 200 calories or more per day by drinking extra water), I always park at the back of parking lots to get my steps in and always take the stairs not the elevator! When I make healthy dinners, I always make extra so I have some easy go-to lunches for the week…
  • Try changing up and cutting your macros too to see if that helps with some changes, also -- lots of water! Stay strong, 47 lbs is already an amazing milestone! You got this!
  • I started a summer reading list to keep myself from snacking during the day!
  • I ran my first race this last weekend! It was a 10K and I felt great the whole time! My fiance and I signed up for 4 more 10Ks to run this summer, hoping each time I run I will get a better time!
  • I am officially running my first race this weekend, a 10k! I have been running twice as much prepping for it which has made me more motivated than I've ever been in my life with working out.

  • I can't believe we have lost a total of 208 pounds in this past month!! Great job everyone!!!
  • Great job @Zulu87! I had a similar NSV with my jeans too! I have about 4 pairs of jeans that are my "skinny" jeans. I haven't been able to wear them for a year now and a few days ago I was able to fit into all 4 pairs! Yes, they were tight and it was a definite struggle to get them on, but they buttoned and zipped all the…

  • I've been on my diet for close to two months now, at 24 pounds lost. Looking to lose another 50 overall. Workouts consist of kickboxing or circuit training 5x/wk for 30 minutes along with a strict diet! Can't wait to get started and staying motivated with you all!
  • What helps me the most is either a nice candlelit bubble bath to help relax or some yoga (mostly breathing and stretching) before bed. Getting your brain and body in the right mindset helps significantly with the quality of sleep.
  • Try finding ways to take up your time so you aren't occupied by food. Also, different hobbies besides food are very important! Whenever I have sugary cravings, I drink a glass of water and try to wait it out to see if it goes away. Keeping yourself occupied and getting those temptations completely out of the kitchen will…
